It's been a few weeks. I've been waiting for the college to send me back the letter to tell me whether I got in or not. I'm really hoping I get in. I found what I want to do and this is it. I am supposed to get the letter in less then a week! I'm really nervous. I am kind of excited though too... I have great grades and I did a good job in high school. Although on my record in 7th grade I was chaos. I got detention for standing on the teachers desk on purpose. So yeah... But besides that, I have a great record and don't see any reason why I wouldn't get a scholarship. But I am still really nervous.
~ time skip to around five days later~
It's been a few days. I was supposed to get my letter either today or yesterday. I didn't get it yesterday. So hopefully it will come in the mail today. It's very sunny outside to day. So I get dressed for the day, slip my shoes on and run to the mail box faster then I have ever ran before. Once I get to the mail box I stop to take a breath from running. I then slowly open the mail box and look inside to see nothing in the mail box. As I am walking back into the house the mail lady passed by and yells to me "if you are going to get your mail here it is." I run to the road up to her mail car. She says it looks like something special. So I take it from her hand. I tell her thank you for giving me our mail. She then says "good luck." I tell her "thank you! I will definitely need it!!" I then run inside and scream for my aunt to come on into the living room. She asks me what I needed her for. I told her that my college letter is here. She asks "is that the one that tells you whether you get in or not?" She looks nervous and scared. I then shake my head yes telling her that it is. She then nudges at me to open the letter. I squeal to her saying I'm very nervous and excited. I then get the letter opener and slide it under the top piece. I slowly flip the top piece over to see a folded piece of paper inside. I say with a big gasp of air "here we go." I then pull out the letter, slowly open it to see that I....
