"I survived on scraps," The time travelling boy said. Anyone could tell this was hard for him to talk about. Quinn clutched his hand reassuringly, the two shared a quick glance the latter having a ghost of a smile on.

"Canned food, cockroaches, anything I could find." Five slightly chuckled looking up,
"You know that rumour that twinkies have an endless shelf life?" Vanya nodded, gesturing to go on. "Well it's total bullshit." Quinn brought the coffee cup (that vanya had given her) up to her face. She felt the warmth of the outside of the cup heat up her cheek, then pulling it back down again.

"I can't even imagine,"
"You do whatever it takes to survive or you die. So we adapted. Whatever the world threw at us we overcame it." thinking back to Delores. Even though he kept her company for so long and she felt real, he knew it was merely his own imagination. He came to that conclusion when he first laid his eyes on his wife. That it was the longing for love and a companionship than actually a real one.
Quinn was well aware of the mannequin. She ought to have felt jealously she supposed but in the end she couldn't help but just look at him in sympathy instead.

"We?" Vanya enquired but got no answer. She looked over that the look-a-like young girl as a silent question if she was with him in the apocalypse. Silently, she shook her head as a 'no'.

"You got anything stronger?" Five looked down at the coffee.

In a hushed voice one that wasn't loud enough for her sister in law to hear she said,
"So how did you get the weeping cut that oh so needed medical attention for."

"Oh wow yes, of course it was. It was like a tsunami that flooded out of my arm." He spoke back extremely sarcastically, with the equalled hushed tone. Quinn looked at him pointedly, crossing her arms over her chest like a cross child, but also trying to wash away the smirk that was crawling into her face. "It was the commission that had done it. Barged in on the diner. Amateurs."

"Well apparently not entirely," directing the statement to the gash on his arm.

He picked up her hand, like the old fashioned gesture, and brought it to his lips kissing it gently. Five sighed before answering. "Again technically commission but not from the men. There was a tracker in it, I also assume that there is one in yours too. I almost forgot when they had put it in us."

"Shit. I'll take it out once we are out of Vanyas hair. Let's just hope they won't decide to make a quick detour and scout us out beforehand." Before five could respond Vanya came in with two drinks of what looked like whisky and passed it to them both. Quinn took a sip and immediately scrunched up her face while her husband just drank it like water.

She coughed a bit and croaked out a, "Oh god." Five chuckled at that. The girl gave him her drink once he had finished his. Quinn took a quick glance at Vanyas face and then turning away again. This time when she looked back again she was trying to read her, noting the blank expression she gave. "You think he's crazy."

"Hmm?" Five looked to his partner eager to what she said as he had been in a bit of a daze. He found himself looking back at his sister like Quinn had done and speedily saw the signs.

"No-" she stammered a response. "-it's just a lot to take in."

"What exactly don't you understand?" The teenage boy snakily respond.

"Why didn't you just time travel back?"

"Jesus almighty, cause that's not the first idea he had."

"Yeah time travel is a crapshoot, I went into the ice and never acorn-ed" his expression softened the slightest before continuing, " You think I didn't try everything to get back to my other family? For my wife to have a home? My daughter to live like a normal kid with a normal life?" He questioned her accusingly.

"If you grew old there, you know, in the apocalypse, how come you still look like a kid?"

At this point Quinn was done with everything. She sighed and rubbed her eyes ,
"We told you already, someone didn't listen to me that someone is now wearing school socks that go knee length that also need pulling up every half a second. Not pointing fingers, five!"

Placing his hand on the small of her back, the time-traveler walked around Quinn,
"As much as I hate that analogy it's true, I must of got the equations wrong." By now he had poured more whiskey into his drink, even though he had, had two glasses already. One from himself and one from his love.

"I mean dad always used to say that...time travel could mess up your mind. Well maybe that's what's happening."

Number Five scoffed and swift,y turned around, "This was a mistake. You're too young-" he took Quinn's hand in his and they both headed for the door. "-too naive to understand." Vanya though was quick to protest.

"No. Five! Five, wait." He stopped and looked to Quinn. She nodded her head backwards gesturing to Vanya. Begrudgingly he turned to his sister. "I haven't seen you in a long time and I don't want to loose you again. That's all. And you know what, it's getting late and I have lessons early and I need to sleep and I'm sure both of you two do as well."

"Personally I'm all one for a sleep over." Quinn jokingly said hopping over to the couch. Five looked across to her and gave in.

"Here." Vanya laid out a blanket and passed it over to Quinn and gave a small smile.

"We'll talk in the morning again. I promise okay? Night."

"Night."

"Good night," Quinn sung. Tiredness was starting to affect her. The sleep drunk was kicking in.

Fives whole exterior changed to a carefree and softer version of himself. One that only Annie and Quinn gets to see.

He walked over and sat down next to her, he leaned back so his back was resting on the sofa. Quinn immediately took this as a chance to cuddle into him and lifted her legs up to pull them into her chest, wrapping her arms around him. He traced patterns on her back and stroked her hair lovingly.

"Tired?" He questioned but he already knew the answer. She had now closed her eyes and just nodded her head ever so slightly as a yes.

"Wake me up in about 30 minuets, if you leave I will aggressively sing happy birthday."

He laughed at this, "Oh no! What ever shall I do?" Wafting his hands around in a surrender, speaking sarcastically.

Opening one eye she looked up at him. "Please?"

"I won't leave, we'll go to Meritech, to see about the cereal number on the back,of the eye it might give us clues..." he drifted his sentence off.

"Good idea. Oh and tracker!"

"Yeah we need to also take that out." She once again closed both of her eyes and welcomed sleep to consume her.
