After 3 weeks, Matt and I were more serious than ever. We 'officially' had our parents meet, and my parents seemed quite happy with our relationship despite the fact that I wasn't really supposed to be in a relationship. My Mom said he was sweet and she very much liked that he cared about studies as much as me. My father though, liked Matt because of his academic and athletic abilities. So far Matt was making a good impression. So good that my parents believed that it sort of was time for me to be in a relationship.
Matt and I were in separable. Everyday we would come back from school and we'd plan a date (after we did are homework of course) and then we'd go out and come back at 10:00 (our parents set curfew) I knew I was falling for him, and I was falling hard.
"Buzzz, buzzz, buzzz." My phone rings in my pocket while I wait in line at Starbucks. I answer the phone,
"Hello?"
"Hey honey, I miss you!"
"Hi Matt, can we do something this afternoon? I miss you too!"
"Sure, just come over to my house, I love youuu."
"Love ya Matt."
I order my salted caramel mocha and drive to Matt's house. First I call my Mom to make sure its okay, it goes to voicemail, "Hey Mom, just stopping at Matt's, he's surprising me. Or... Whatever, point is, I'll be home by... what time is it? Oh yeah 5:30 I'll be home by 5:30. Love ya. Bye"
When I arrive at Matt's house his mom answers the door. She dressed up and putting hoop earring in when she says, "You two can stay here, I'm trusting you. I have a date night so we'll be back by 10:00, I assume you're leaving earlier than that." I nod, "Sounds good Ms. Espinosa." She kisses Matt goodbye and walks out of the door.
I walk back to the kitchen to see Matt cooking with his shirt off, "Watcha making?" I say. He smiles, "come here babe." I gladly walk over to the pan. He sets me in front of him and wraps his arms around me. "See, move the pan like that." He takes my hand. "You're great at cooking! Where'd you learn these mad skills?" I giggle, "I just burned that side of the chicken." I turn to face him, my back leaning on the counter. "There's no denying that you're a great cook." He laughs. I place my hands on his face then kiss him softly, "I'm in love with you, there's no denying that." I whisper. We finish cooking the chicken and eat it in front of the TV, "This is great Matt. It'd be better if I hadn't burned the chicken." I explain. "Nooo. I love it, just how I love you." He crawls over and wraps his arm around me. "Listen I need to tell you something, come up to my room."
I go up to his room and find him sitting on the bed. "I have some good and bad news." I sigh, "go on." He looks me in the eyes, "I bought us tickets for Disneyland here in LA over spring break. I already asked our parents. We can get the same hotel room. We'll be there for 3 nights. And most of Magcon is going with." I exclaim, "Matthew Espinosa you didn't?!" He smiles quickly but it fades away, "but, after spring break, Magcon is actually going on tour." I smile, "That's great! Just in this area?" He face goes deadpan, "No, all over the nation. We'll be miles apart but I still love you and will visit often, over the summer you can go on tour with me. Are you okay? You can Snapchat me while I'm on the road. I wanna make this work, I really do."
I stare in disbelief, "I love you no natter what, we can make this work, I swear." I whisper. He sighs, "I want to, let's just dance." He grabs my hands and we slow dance to the silence. I whisper,"Never let me go." He looks down on me, "I won't, I swear, I will never let you go." Then he softly kisses my head, "You've gotta go, it's 5:20. I love you." I grab my purse and look back on Matt sitting on the bed. His face is in his hands as I remember his words I won't, I swear I will never let you go.
