"I love you Philip," Ruth said as soon as they were back in their room.
Philip pulled Ruth to her so that her body was flush against his. Ruth wrapped her arms around his neck. Philip leaned down and kissed Ruth. "And I love you."
Ruth blinked up at Philip with a coy look. "Now that we are engaged...."
Philip stopped Ruth with another kiss. "We will wait until the wedding night."
Ruth pouted up at Philip. "Are you sure? I think that I am ready."
Philip shook his head. "We will wait. I want you to be fully comfortable before we take that step."
Ruth gave a reluctant nod. "If you think that is best."
Philip kissed Ruth again. "I am certain. Your scars are beautiful to me Ruth. I want you to see that too."
"I am trying Philip. I have come a long ways since Ian came home and brought you and Lois with him."
"I know you are Ruth and that is why I love you."
Ruth moved so that she could wrap her arms around Philip's waist. She laid her head on his chest and hugged him tightly. "The past few months have been some of the best in my life. Thank you."
Philip held Ruth for the longest time. Neither one wanted to move. After what felt like forever, Philip moved away from Ruth. He smiled down at Ruth. "What do you want to do for the rest of the night?"
"I want to snuggle and talk about planning our wedding."
Philip gave a very dramatic bow and swept a hand towards the bed where they could cuddle and talk. Ruth clambered onto the bed and waited for Philip to join her before she cuddled up against him. Philip wrapped his arms around Ruth.
"What does your dream wedding look like?"
"I have never thought about it before. Now that we are at the Stanley, I would like to get married here. There are plenty of rooms that are offered for weddings. I only have a dozen people that I would like to attend. We can have a beautiful intimate wedding and even do the honeymoon here."
"I agree with you on getting married here. We can ask for the prices and options before we leave."
Ruth smiled up at Philip. "I want Rachel as my maid of honor. Ian will give me away. Lois would be the best man."
"I agree with having all of them in the wedding. What about wedding colors?"
Ruth shrugged. "I like red and gold or blue and silver."
"We can always flip a coin to decide what colors to go with."
Ruth giggled. "Maybe we should just do that with the whole wedding."
Philip and Ruth spent the next few hours talking excitingly about the wedding while they cuddled on the giant king sized bed. Ruth fell asleep in Philip's arms dreaming about a beautiful wedding in the mountains.
