The Next Day...
JAMES' P.O.V.
I couldn't believe it.
I had just met Harry, and now he's dead?!
I walk into his office, and see a young man standing there.
He looks to be about my age.
"Who're you?", I ask him.
"I'm Tim. I'm Harry's... son.", he says.
I quickly get the impression that he and Harry haven't had a good relationship.
"Who're you?", Tim asks me.
"I'm James. James Johnson. I was supposed to be Harry's new partner.", I say.
He looks at me, and I can see sadness in his eyes.
Hope can sense Tim's sadness too.
She goes over to him to hug his legs with her ribbons, but Tim backs away from her.
"Relax Tim, she's not gonna hurt you. She just wants to help you feel better.", I say.
"I don't really... like to be around Pokemon. Sorry.", Tim says.
Then he realizes something.
"You were Harry's partner. Do you know what he was like?", he asks.
"No, not really. I litterly just met him yesterday.", I say.
Tim seems disappointed by my answer.
'He must be trying to figure out what his father was like.', I think.
"I guess I'll go now. I've gotta go to my dad's apartment to pick up his belongings.", Tim says.
"Wait, do you know the location of his apartment?", I ask.
"Yeah. Detective Yoshida gave me his address.", Tim says.
"Can I see it?", I ask.
"Uh, why?", Tim asks.
I hesitate.
I wanna tell him why, but I gave my word to Harry that I wouldn't tell anyone else about his investigation.
If I tell him, I'd be putting him in danger because he'd have knowledge of this case.
I can't put him in danger.
I won't put him in danger.
"I just wanted to look around for clues. Maybe we can find something there about what could've happened.", I say.
It's partially true, but not entirely.
"I guess so.", Tim says.
He hands me a paper with Harry's address on it.
"Come on, let's go.", I say.
The three of us walk out of Harry's office, and get into my car.
I drive to the address that's on the piece of paper.
'We'll soon figure out what really happened.', I think.
