chapter 5

Javi was in so much trouble. Daniela and I had to get out of there. It was nearly time for her to go to work anyways so we got ready and went to the club early. We walk into the club through the back door and go into the dressing room.
"Roxy! " Cherry yells. She runs up to me and crushes me in a hug. I laugh and hug her back. Melissa AKA cherry is my closest friend here.
"Hey! Oh my god you look gorgeous as always. " I sat as I pull back and look her up and down.
"Thank you girl. Are you working tonight or just Lexus.? "Lexus is Danielas stage name. As Roxy is mine. Yes I am also a stripper. I'm the youngest. No one knows except for the people who work here and my brother and sister. No one not even my friends know. They think I only work at the cafe, which I do I just have another job on the down low.
"Just Lexus. I came to watch. " I chuckle. She smiles.
"Well I was gonna call you tomorrow but since you're here um would you mind babysitting matt on Saturday? " I nod.
"Yea it no problem. I can just take with me to Lupe's. She's having a cookout. "
"Ooh. I might have to come over. " She says. I laugh.
"Yea you should. Where are you going though? " I ask.
"We have court. " She says. She still smiling even though it's a sad smile. No matter the situation she's smiling. "
"Still. I thought that was done. "I say.
" He missed a couple months of payments. They said this is his last warning. He either pays it or he's getting locked up. "She says. She took her baby daddy to court for child support. Of course his broke ass isn't paying.
" I don't even know why they gave him so many chances. Jax needs to get locked up. "
"Honestly I don't care what happens to him. He doesn't know how hard it is to take care of a child. Matt is 2 already and Jax hasn't been there for him at all physically or financially. And if he's not going to be here physically then he need to be financially. " She says. I nod.
"I agree. He's such a pendejo. " Lexus comes over to us. I laugh.
"Seriously."

Camden's POV

"Did you enjoy the drama. " Veronica says to me. We're sitting up in her room.
"It was crazy. Stuff like that never happens when I'm here. " I say.
"That's because we're rarely ever here. We're always at your house or Micahs. " I nod.
"True. But why did she just run out there and get in the middle of a fight? " I ask. I was gonna run after her because who in their right mind gets in the middle of a fight.
"That's her and her sisters crew out here. My sister hangs out with them. I do sometimes and there always something going on with them. " Just then the door opens.
"I'm going to Lisettes house. We're having a little party. Kick back. Wanna come? " Veronica's sister, vanessa asks leaning against the door frame. Veronica looks at me.
"Wanna go? " I shrug.
"I don't care. " Veronica changes I to a grey tight crop too and light wash blue skinny jeans.
"Come on. " I get up to leave. I follow them out of their house and down the street to a house. They go around back and theirs a bunch of people here sitting and hanging out. Vanessa walks off and Veronica hugs a girl.
"Hey Lisette. This is my friend Camden. " The girl says hi. I smile. I don't know is what to do.
"Where's the chàvez siblings. It's too quiet here. " Veronica asks.
"Dani is at work and Mari went with her. Javi is out doing a job with Marco. They'll be here later when the party starts. " The girl says.
"Hey homegirl! " Someone shouts from the other side of the yard.
"I'll talk to you later. " The girl says to Veronica and walks away.
"So you'll see how the cholas  party. " Can't wait.

Mariela's POV

"Come on. I'm ready. Hurry up Dani. Javi is already there. " I tie my jacket around my waist. Dani comes ihr Waring the same thing except a red bra. (Outfit ⬆)
"Is Ani and dean coming? " Dani asks walking down the stairs.
"Yea they're there already. She said javi just got there. Hurry it's already 12:30." I say.
" Ay, adónde vas? "My mom asks where we're going.
"Lisette's." I answer. She nods and shoo's us out of the house. We leave and walk down the street to the house. I could hear music all the way down the street. We open the gate and go around back.
"We're here! " We yell running to the back.
"Ayyyy! "Ani yells. Get money by Anuel AA and Akon comes on.
" This is getting old. "Dani says. I snicker. Everyone knows she's a stripper and they always play this song.
" How much did you make tonight esa? "Vanessa asks.
" About 1500."
"Damn." She say.
"Sí."
"Don't get mad! Get money! "Manny yells coming over time us. I shake my head. Manny is the goofy playful annoying guy that everyone says they hate but actually really enjoys his company.
" Let me get outta here before I get a headache. "I say and practically run to Ani.

A couple hours later and almost everyone is drunk. I'm not drinking. That's a lie. I drank a bud light but I don't like drinking so I only drank one. Marco is playing his drunk playlist. A Través Del Vaso starts playing. I actually like this song. I look at javi. He's already looking at me. He knows how much I love this song. He comes to sit next to me.
" Please don't sing. It's annoying when you sing this song. "I roll my eyes. (Song ⬆)

" She plays it over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. "Javi says bobbing his head side to side everytime he says over.

" No he's not. Once it plays its stays on repeat for a good 2 hours. "Dani says.
" Callate. "(Shut up.)
" JAVIER LUIZ SANTIAGO CHÀVEZ!" My mom comes from the side of the house yelling and holding a chancla. My eyes widen as does everyone else's.
"Let's get outta here. " Me and Dani get up and start running. As we pass my mom she hits both me and Dani on the back of our head.
"Ow! " We say.
" Vete a casa! "She tells after us. We sprint home. I head foot steps behind us. We slow and turn to see Javi running our way with mom following. Yes our mom chases us. Javi catches up and we sprint the rest of the way home. We hear people yelling  'run' behind us. We get to the house and stop on the porch. My mom stops in the middle of the street. She turns back to them and starts yelling.
"Cállate o llamaré a todas tus mamás! " (Shut up or I'll call all if your moms.) They shut up and go back around the house. We go into the house and run to our rooms. We have no idea what's going on but it isn't going to be pretty.
