Mariela's POV

"Will you get table 5? I have to use the restroom. " I ask Carrie. She nods. The diner is dead today. Which is good cause we were messing around. I go and do my business. I wash my hands and come out. I almost run into someone. I look up.
"Shit sorry. " I say. It's Camden grey. I roll my eyes and move around him. I go behind the counter and see Dani sitting and talking to Carrie.
"Hey." I say. She nods.
"I wanted to go to the club before it opens to practice a little. " I nod.
"I get off in 40."
"You can go now. It's dead anyways. I'll be fine. " Carrie says.
"No. I do this all of the time. I'm staying until my shift is over. She can wait. " I say.
"Table 5." Pam says from the kitchen. Carrie grabs their order and takes it to their table.
"I hear Jamal was all over you. "Dani says. I shrug.
" I told him to go mess up someone else's life. "Ashley walks through the door. She is the night shift with Georgia. She comes around the counter.
" Hey guys. "
"Hey."she sats her purse down and looks at me. It got quiet and awkward. I sigh.
" Why is it awkward? "I say.
" Maybe because she slept with your boyfriend. "Dani says. She has a amused smile on her face.
" See you think this is funny Dani but it's not. "Ashley says.
" It's not but it's funny how we're all still friends when you slept with her boyfriend. "
"I'm gunna go give them their check and get my stuff. " Carrie walks away.
"He didn't tell her that we were together. I can't be mad at her. At the end of the day she my friend and he is just someone who walked through my life. He isn't here to say he gone cut off. That's all I have to say so if we can get out of here that's be nice. "I go to the back and see Carrie.
" Dani was such a bitch. "She says pulling her jacket from her locker. I open mine and grab my stuff.
" I know. She's always getting pissed when me or javi but into her relationships but she feels she can but into mine. "I say I put my stuff in my locker and close and lock it.
" It's just a mess though. "She says.
" I'm over it. I'm already over him. I just need people to stop butting in though. Especially Dani. "I say. She agrees and we walk out to the front. I see Georgia.
" Hey. "I hug her.
" Hi girly. Have fun at the club. "She waves as the three of us leave
Carrie walks to her car and me and Dani get in her car. She takes off for the club. In 20 minutes she parks and we go in. Josh is behind the bar. We wave and go to the back. We change and I put on some heels. I go out to the stage and do some turns.
"Oh yeah. " I stop and look st the bar. Josh is there drinking a beer.
"Josh. Go perv on someone else. " I say. he laughs and shakes his head. I continue to do some turns until I'm dizzy.

I collect the money from the floor and go to the back room. I set my money on my vanity and grab a water.
'Damn. That was good. Had me all hot and bothered back here. "Porsche says. I laugh. I sit for a minute before I get ready. I put my clothes on and pull my now straight hair into a ponytail. I have been out there for 3 hours and because it's packed I got a lot more today then I would on a normal day.
" You ready? "Dani comes through the door. I nod.
" Yea. "I shove my momey in my bag and get up to follow her. We go through the back and out to the car. She's gonna come back after she drops me off. I have school tomorrow.
"I'll see you later. " I say as I get out of the car and run inside. I go upstairs and drop everything on the floor. I undress and jump in the shower. 20 minutes later I get out and throw on some comfortable clothes. I put my phone in charge and get in bed. I'm out the second I hit the pillow.

I walk into school and open my locker. My stomach has been hurting all morning. The bell rings and I hadn't realized how late I got here. Javi dropped me off. His ass was being so slow this morning.  I switch my books and close my locker. Just then I get a really painful cramp. I slide down the lockers and sit on the floor. I check the date on my phone and sigh.
"You alright? "I look up and see Camden grey. This is the first time he ever spoke to me. This is weird. I nod slowly.
" Yes. "My phone vibrates. It's a text from javi.

    Dads taking mom to Mexico. Tià Maria is sick and moms worried about tió Jose. They're going to be there for the weekend. Honestly I hope el cucuy gets her. Tià Maria is hella annoying. 🤣🤣💀 Read: 8:26 am

After reading that I laugh. He's fucking stupid. But he's not lying about tià Maria. She really is annoying and rude. I hear a throat clear. I look up and Camden is still there. I raise a eyebrow at him. He takes a seat next to me. I get another cramp and I groan a little.

           Well I'm gonna go home real fast. I have to do something. Don't tell mom or dad I'm leaving. Sent: 8:28 am

          I won't. They just left. And I'm about to leave Dani is here tho. I'll tell her not to open her big mouth. Read 8:30 an

       Ok. Sent 8:31 am

I look up at Camden. I smile at him and he smiles back. Okay.
"You have a car. You don't care about school and you know where I live. " I start.
"Yea so? " He says.
"Will you take me home? " He looks at me for a minute. Then nods.
"Yea. Come on. " He stand and I stand after him. I grab my bag and follow him out to his car. I stop when I see his car.
"You drive a Bentley? " I ask. He smirks and nods.
"You wanna drive it? "He dangles the keys in front of my face. I look at him then the keys then the car. I bite my lip. He shakes the keys waiting for my answer. I scowl and grab the keys. He chuckles. I open the back door and set my bag on the seat before I get in the drivers seat. I look at the interior and admire the car. It smells like his expensive cologne. He shuts his door and I put my seatbelt on. I start the car and the music comes on. I raise my brow and shoot him an amused look.
"Doja Cat? " He switches the song and looks out the window. The next song is  Ariana Grande, bloodline. I actually like that song. I turn the volume up. I back out of the parking and leave the school parking lot. When I pull out to the main road I am already in love with the car. I start driving in the direction of my house.
"Why are you going home. Aren't you the type who doesn't get in trouble. "I take the turn to go to the bad part of town. I look over at him.
" My parents are gone for the weekend. What my mom doesn't know won't hurt her. But I just can't have anyone opening their big mouths. "I say. Everyone I hang around has a big ass mouth and always say shit that will get someone in trouble or cause drama.
" Are you throwing a party?  Everyone does that when their parents are gone. "I look over at him then back at the road. Is this kid serious right now? I'd have my ass handed to me. I shake my head.
" I would be six foot under before I even thought about throwing a party. "I say. He chuckles.
" Don't laugh. I'm serious. "I turn down my street and stop in front if my house. I see cholos and cholas sitting on my porch and in the front yard. I roll my eyes.
" What did you say about not having a party. "Camden remarks.
