Okay so me and my friends are watching Harry Potter right now and I am really in the mood to right so here is the next chapter blank years after I posted the last. Hopefully, there aren't too many inconsistencies.
Diagon Alley was more splendid than Tarra could ever imagine. She marveled at the broomsticks, owls, and black cats. She laughed at the silly street magician who sent a burst of confetti into the air and she tasted every flavor of candy and sweets she could get her hands on. By the time it came to getting her wand, her cheeks hurt from smiling all day.
But when she entered the dusty old shop, her smile fell.
At the counter, Blaise poked his wand at a green fern with purple, glowing buds. His black silk robes shimmered in the dim light and a glamorous black gemstone flashed on his ring.
Tarra froze in the doorway.
"What's wrong, Honey?" asked Tarra's mother.
Blaise's gaze turned to her. His dark eyes widened in surprise before he gave her a haughty smile.
"Nothing!" Tarra tried to sound excited, but her voice came out as a squeak. She blushed bright red.
Blaise said nothing and returned to poking the plant. Tarra dashed to the furthest corner of the shop from him (which was only 6 feet away). She forced her attention on the rows of wands and tried to forget about him.
Of course, that didn't go as planned because her mother talked to nearly every stranger they encountered.
"So are you in your first year too?" She asked.
Blaise gave her a glance over and sneered. His eyes flickered to Tarra, who shrunk away from his gaze. He laughed once. A cold, cool, velvety sound that made Tarra's mom frown.
Before anything could get worse for Tarra, three people appeared from the racks of wands. The first was a strange man with crazy grey hair. The second was a short wizard with a comb-over in dark robes, and the third, well, she took your breath away.
The woman frowned and said, "Blaise, stop poking that plant."
That's when the similarities between Blaise and the woman shone. They had the same regal, haughty features, and breathtaking beauty. The woman had to be his mother, Tarra figured.
Blaise stared at his mother for a moment and his lips tensed. He dropped his hand and walked out of the shop with a swish of his silk robes. His mother watched him with cold eyes before glancing over Tarra and her parents. She sneered at them and left.
The two men shook hands and muttered something about the business of unicorns, but Tarra's brain discarded the information that unicorns were real. She was too busy watching Blaise and his mother through the dusty shop window.
They stood on an island in the sea of wizards and witches, two marbleloques creatures. Blaise's gaze flickered to his mom from time to time. It was the only thing that ruined their statue-like poses.
