I woke up with Jackson by my side.

He was on his stomach and his head was facing the other way.

I sigh.

I start thinking about the argument we had last night.

We were yelling back and forth until he said he didn't love me.

I told him to sleep in the dog house so he went to his car and proceeded to try to sleep there.

Instead he slipped in bed at night.

I know because he got high and whatever he smokes is strong.

Everytime he came home late it was always because he was high.

It wakes me up because he usually gets close to me since we're used to our presence next to each other when we sleep.

I've been distant lately only because I've had a 6,899 different meetings with my manager, PLUS he's been getting high with Jaden and Payton a lot.

He's always streaming and playing on twitch when I actually have time to give him the attention he wants.

Last night he told me I was distant for no reason.

*flashback*

———

I had just gotten home from a meeting.

It was 8:47 PM

I got the keys, of our shared two story home, out and unlocked the door.

I got greeted by Otis, our pug.

"Hi, buddyyyy!" I said in a cooing voice.

He licked my hand.

I laughed.

I stood back up as he ran back to the couch where he was watching a cartoon show.

"Baby, I'm home!" I yelled.

No response.

I sigh.

I walked up the stairs hearing a muffled, "NOO!" and "YES HAHAH BITCH YOU LOST"

I slightly chucked.

I walked into his gaming room and he turned his head to me.

He slightly frowned.

I awkwardly hugged him and he awkwardly kissed my cheek.

"How was the meeting, y/n?" He asked.

Ouch. He never calls me by my first name.

"O-oh, it.. it was.. okay, I guess.."

He nods and gets back to playing.

I walk out.

Tears fill my eyes.

I sniff.

I see Otis at the bottom of the stairs looking at me with his head tilting to the sides.

He's noticing that I'm sad.

At least he cares-

Tears fall out of my eyes.

I start sniffing while tears are coming out.

Otis runs up the stairs and starts jumping, telling me to pick him up.
