Chae: You should eat if you’re stress.

Agad siyang napalingon rito. Chae is behind her and holding the packed lunch she prepared. Now, Chae’s aura is different. It looks livelier than earlier.

Mina: C-chae..pano mo nalaman na nandito ako?
Chae: Telepathy, I guess?

Tinabihan siya ng nobyo sa pagkakaupo at inilapag ang dala nitong malaking damit at doon inilagay ang lunch boxes.

Chae: Are you upset?
Mina: No..

Mina: I don’t care! Bakit ba ito ang usapan natin? Bwisit ka talaga.

Mina cussed in her mind. Naiinis siya. Di niya alam kung bakit. Though she liked the kiss. Hayst.

Nang makaalis si Mina ay nakaramdam siya ng matinding pagsisisi. He lost strength to follow her. But he managed to open her packed lunch. Ngayon lamang may nagprepare ng lunch para sa kanya. Somehow, he felt her heart and genuine gesture.

Nang buksan niya ito ay napansin niya agad ang steak na nakakorteng lion. Mina used carrots as it’s whiskers and brows, and it’s expression is discouraged. It looks like a baby lion. Binuksan pa niya ang dalawa pang box at nakalagay sa isa ang dalawang penguin na magkahawak kamay na gawa sa rice ball. Ang huli ang napansin niya talaga. A rectangular steak. It has a message written using ketsup.

“Eat. I am worried you might skip a meal because of me.” and “Smile, my cub.”

He automatically smiled as he read those. Calling him her cub is relieving. That’s why he decided to follow her.

Chae: I like it.
Mina: I like it, too.

They are eating those while sitting comfortably on the floor. They decided to speak after eating the food, so that they have strength to argue or console. They need to talk.

Chae: Finish.
Mina: 20 minutes
Chae: What?
Mina: We should wait 20 minutes.
Chae: Mina, applicable lang yun kapag gagalaw ka. We’re just talking after eating.

Hinawakan ni Chae ang kamay ng dalaga. They wanted to have a serious talk. Hindi lokohan. Nilabas niya ang singsing at agad isinuot sa palasingsingan ni Mina. Mina gasped at the sight. Wala na siyang magawa.

Mina:Chae!
Chae: It’s a promise ring.
Mina: Promise ring?
Chae: Hmmm…suotin mo lang yan kampante na ako. Habang suot mo yan, mapapanatag akong mahal mo ako. I know there’s something holding you back…I know you’re afraid of marriage…alam kong bata pa tayo, pero seryoso ako ngayon. I wanted you to be my wife. Ayoko ng iba. If you can’t marry me, I will not marry someone else.
Mina: C-chae…why are you being like this?
Chae: I’m serious Mina. I wanted this relationship to work. I want you to be happy with me. Hindi ko nakikita ang sarili ko sa iba.
Mina: Chae….Chae bata pa tayo…hindi lang ako ang babae rito. You have looks and women will love you and give you your worth. Yung babaeng papayag na pakasalan ka ng walang pag aalinlangan..
Chae: why do I feel like I’m being abandoned?

Napahinto siya at tumitig sa nobya. She’s serious.

Mina: I will keep this ring. But….

Mina: You should not mention about marriage to me anymore.

Chae: Basta suotin mo lang ang singsing.

Mina finally smiled and he’s relieved. Parang nagkaoxygen muli ang puso niya. Niyakap niya ang nobya at hinalikan sa noo. Mina decided to stop thinking about leaving him and just think of a memories she wanted to experience with Chae for a month.

Mina: Should we date again?
Chae: Saan?
Mina: Hmmm..kahit saan.

Humiwalay si Chae sa yakap at nakangiting hawak ang balikat ng nobya. It’s a meaningful smile and it intrigued her.

Chae: Kung sa bahay kaya ng magulang ko? Gusto kong ipakilala ka sa kanila ng pormal.

Hinampas ni Mina ang dibdib nito at tumawa lang si Chae.

Napagdesisyunan na nilang umalis sa lugar. Mina called Jimmu to fetch her car at Maria Bridge. Sasabay kasi siya kay Chae. Nang makarating si Jimmu ay umalis na sila. Rest assured na kasi sila. Again, she enjoyed the fresh air she’s breathing.

But without her knowledge, SoundSea Inc. is in alarm state. All their computers are attacked by virus and their databases are going to be steal by Seiko Fugizama.
