Bondita stood still. The scene in front of her was distributing. "Yeh kya ho raha hai yaha kaki?" she asked a women who was standing beside her. "Dekh nahi rahi ho, Aarti ka pati usse ghar se nikal raha hai."the women replied. "Kyu uss baachi ne koi galti ki hai??"Bondita asked."Sunna hai usske maa-baba ab dahej dene se mana kar rahe hai." the women dramatically said.
"Aur aap yaha khadi dekh rahi hai." Bondita roared. "Uska saath deke hamari jindagi barbad karle. Chote Chote bacche hai. Agar hume bhi nikal diya toh kaha jayenge kon apnayega hume?" the women pathetically explained her side.
Aarti falls down on her husband's feet and begs. "Mein aapke pair padti haath jodti hu mujhe maat nikaliye ghar se, kaha jayungi mein. Aap jo kahenge woh karungi." "Kaha matlab aapne maa-baba ke pass jao. Aur unhe kaho jab dahej dene ko woh tayaar ho gaye tabhi tume vapis bheje. Tab tak tumhari iss ghar mein koi jarurat nahi hai."he pushed her but before she could land on a broken glass bondita hold her.
"Patni hai tumhari, khilona nahi hai jab maan kiya tab phek diya." Bondita harshly snapped. "Yeh hamare ghar ki baat hai.Tum iss mamle mein mat padho. "the man said. "Ghar ki baat ghar mein ki jati hai. Iss tarah ghar ke laxmi sabke samane bezzati karke nahi." Bondita replied.
"Aap sabko sharam aani chahiye. Ek baachi ke saath anyaay ho raha hai aur aap khade khade dekh rahe ho." Bondita screamed at the crowd. "Kya rishta hai tumhara uss ladki ke saath? kyu shor kar rahi ho??" An old man question bondita. "Rishta nah ho toh aavaj uthana galat hai kya??" bondita asked. "Do char kitabe kya padh li sanskaar parampara sab bhul gayi. Badi jubaan chalti hai tumhari. Hamare yaha aurato ko jab bola jaye tabhi bolti hai." he replied.
"Kaki, Didi sun rahi hai na aap.Kiske haath ki Kathputli nahi hai aurat. Aaj isske saath hua hai kal durga maa esa na karke par agar aapke saath ya aapki beti saath hua tobhi aap ese hi chup khadi rahengi. Aaj nahi toh kabhi nahi hogi aurat aajad." Bondita tried her best to convince them. She slowly was losing her patience when in fear no one came forward .
"Dekho Bhaiyo, yeh ladki aurto ko apni baato mein uljha ke hamare khilaf badhka rahi hai. Hamare ghar todna chahti hai. Ese log hamare samaaj pe daag hein." A middle aged man said to all the man. "Samaanata se ghar tutte nahi judte hai...." Bondita was soon interrupted by another men. "Bhaiyo, tum sab kya khade khade sun rahe ho isse...Kabse bakwas kiye ja rahi hai." Everyone agreed with him.
Aarti's husband came forward and pushed away aarti's bag. "Tum kya khadi sun rahi ho. Koi nahi bachane wala tumhe.Niklo yaha se." but when she didn't move he raised him hand. Bondita who saw all this stood in front of her with a bamboo " Door raho usse." she warned him.
An aggressive male crowd threw a stone which hitted right in bondita' s forehead. A loud scream released her mouth. Blood started flowing down.........
Now who will help Bondita and Aarti?
