chapter nine

Alexia

"Leo,it's been over two weeks, don't you think I already know the basics in kicking and punching?" I complained to him as we walked to the training room. I had been training for almost three weeks in which most of the days,Leo had asked one of his mafia minions to train me while he went out to do God knows what.

The guy was more understanding than Leo and even allowed me to take breaks when I wanted to but when Leo was around,he became all tough and serious.

I'll never understand why they accept to be treated like servants by Leo.

Anyway,this day was particularly different. Leo was the one training me and I don't mean standing at a corner and watching me but actually physically training me. He wore grey sweatpants which had fighting so hard not to stare at his crotch. He wore them low in a way of slightly exposing the Calvin Klein briefs he had inside.

The most torture I received was that he didn't have a shirt on. We stood at the center of the room and I couldn't help but stare at every muscle on his torso flowing from the light into the dark. He was a living work of art with his flawless skin so tempting to touch. My eyes were especially fixated on the tattoo that covered most part of his left shoulder blade.

"You really seem to be liking the view." He said with a satisfied mischievous smirk and I realized I had been lost in his beauty for way too long.

"I wasn't staring,just deep in thought." I said letting out a nervous laugh and we both knew how false my words were.

"Whatever you say. So today is going to be different," He started.

"Don't you think I already noticed that." I answered smugly. He rolled his eyes and continued.

"You will try to fight against me. I want to see where your strength and capability is."

"You want us to fight?" I asked dumbfounded.

"Relax,I won't be rough since you're just a beginner at this." He said with a smirk. Seriously, can't he just smile like a normal person?

"You really underestimate me Mister. Infact,I truly believe I'll be the one to have to go slow on you." I mentally face palmed at my statement. I knew very well and clear that I would be the one ending up in a pile of bones but I had to protect my pride.

"We'll see." He said with an evil smirk as we  both leaned to position. In that frozen second between stand off and fighting,my eyes flicker to him. He face unreadable,no fear,no invitational smirk. He dodged my fist and came up with his own. For a brief second,my eyes widen in disbelief before I fell a blow at the crook of my neck. I ignored the jolting pain and settled for throwing kicks. He magnificently reversed the movements with his forearms before grabbing my hand roughly and slamming my back to his torso.

"Is that all you got little one?" He slowly whispered to my ear in a surprisingly calm voice while I struggled to catch my breath. I  pulled back a little changing directions as I attempted to slam him down on his back in which I failed miserably because of his well built physique. I huffed in frustration as he gave me a kick on the side which sent me to the floor. The kick was somehow gentle but his strength was so fucking harsh.

"What the fuck! Did you really have to take me down like an enemy?" I cursed out as I gave him my hand for him to pull me to a standing position. 

"I take no pleasure in taking you down but when it comes to fighting, there's no honor nor code,all that matters is the win." He said in a monotone and ignored my hand in the air and went for his water bottle. I forced myself to a standing position and followed him to where he stood.

"I'm your trainee,you should be less harsh with me." I protested I a gazed at his blobbing adams apple as he drank the water in huge gulps.

"Trainee? Is that even an actual word?" He snorted.

Before I answered him,the door of the training room slammed open and blondie walked in. Come to think of it,I hadn't seen her in a while not that I was complaining though.

"What?" Leo asked her in frustration and bitterness which caused me to almost laugh out loud at her shocked expression.

"I think someone is messing with the ship cause they're already two days behind the schedule." Blondie said, trying to act calm but I could tell she was a somehow disturbed by Leo's intense gaze.

Me too sis.

"Diego," He spat the name venomously and I couldn't even estimate the hate he had for that guy. Now I was really curious who this Diego guy was.

"Fuck! Why didn't anyone tell me earlier? Two days?" He shouted and threw the water bottle he had on the wall.

He was mad furious.

He immediately walked out of the room and I remained standing there in confusion with blondie.

"You're the one causing all of this and I know it." Blondie accused as she walked towards me.

"Calm down bitch,do I look anything like Diego?" I scoffed mockingly.

"I know you're working with the Costa and I'll prove it. You're just trying to destroy the De Luca empire through Leo."

"Do you know how stupid you sound right now? I barely know a thing about Costa so leave me the fuck alone and go play dress up or whatever you do." I said and brushed past her heading out of the room.

"Stupida donna, just like your brother." (Stupid woman) She muttered silently but only one word captured me.
