A "Normal" Life with Servants

Signs... of what?

Fall...

Many would believe that Fall is when change and transformation fill the air as the leaves turn from bright green to red and orange. Fall is there to remind us that Change can be a scary but alluring thing.

To Y/N? it was just another cold season for him. No matter what season, it would always be the same. Go to work, Save up as much money as possible, buy small amounts of food and water, Repeat.

Pretty boring huh? It was his "Normal" Life after all. Not having enough to entertain yourself nor be able to buy necessities other than food, water, and shelter.

Nothing could ever change in his "Normal" boring life, right?

...Right?

4 Hours later From the Sleepover 

Y/N scrubbed the back of his right arm with soap as the red symbol above his knuckles just wouldn't go away. No matter how many times he scrubbed it with different types of soap, It wouldn't go away. It was like a tattoo that refused to be cleaned.

"I should've never slept over..." The male thought while drying his arm with a towel. Ever since watching this Anime called "Fate" with his best buddy Andrew, A red Symbol suddenly appeared over his right hand after waking up the next morning without an explanation. "...but would it still appear even if I didn't go?"

Being a hardcore weeb his friend Andrew was, He told him it looked similar to the command seal that "Gudao" from the game franchise "Fate/Grand Order" has at the beginning of the game.

The male was suspicious but after confirming it via the Internet, Y/N blamed his friend for drawing it last night after falling asleep on the couch. A little argument then broke out between the two...

"It wasn't me I swear!" Andrew exclaimed with his hand up in the Air.

"Well, it wasn't there when I arrived at your house! Now, boom! It's there when I fall asleep, leaving me vulnerable to your little pranks!" Y/N countered with a scowl on his face.

"L-Look I can prove it to you!"

Andrew quickly pointed at the camera in the corner of the living room.

"Since when did you have cameras?" Y/N asked with a hint of confusion in his voice.

Andrew nervously chuckled while opening a tab on his laptop that was on the coffee table.

"I placed them after my parents heard about the break-in near my neighborhood"

Y/N looked at Andrew with a perplexed look. "A break-in? When did that happen?"

Andrew sighed. "About a couple weeks ago, Someone tried to break-in somebody's home, Cops get called and the bad guy is stopped just in time. You know? The classic break-in."

Scrolling past the footage to the beginning of the night, Andrew fast forwards it but after a few minutes, they find nothing. Proving that Andrew was somewhat innocent.

Y/N meanwhile was beyond Troubled, who or what drew this symbol in his hand? Did someone break-in? No not possible, the camera would've picked up something. Was he being targeted? Why--

"You're lucky you know..." Andrew suddenly announced with jealousy all over his face. Disrupting Y/N from his thoughts as he looked at his long time friend.

"Why?"

"You have a replica of a command seal! It looks perfect as the one in the game! Dammit God, why couldn't I have it!?"

Y/N smiled at his friend's rant before looking at him seriously. "You think there's a way to get rid of it? I don't want my boss to think I joined a gang or something..."

"Maybe we could ask those people who remove tattoos by laser?"

"Yeah no, I don't have the money for that... *Sighs* What am I gonna do.."

Andrew scratched his chin before suddenly snapping his fingers

"A glove! It can cover your hand! But uh you'll need to make an excuse why you have a glove."

Y/N thought about it before nodding. "That's a good idea, I'll just say that I burnt my hand over the weekend"

Andrew smiled that his idea was being used. "Now how about we eat? We can worry about the Command seal later!"

Y/N rolled his eyes before nodding as the duo went to the kitchen to eat.

Shaking the sudden Flashback, Y/N prepared himself for another stressful day as he grabbed his lunch and stuffed it inside his old-rundown backpack. Grunting, he forcefully pushed his shitty apartment door open and closed it before making his way downstairs and outside his run-down apartment complex. 

"Another day to survive..." Y/N thought as the cold breeze of Fall blew into his face which made him shiver. Looking around, Y/N can see many people going on about their day. Kids walking to school, Adults making their way to their respective jobs, Elderly just enjoying the beautiful colors of the trees.

"Mom! Do you think I can become a Doctor! I want to be like big Brother and save people!" A young boy cheerfully asked his mother as they walked side by side.

The Mother looked down at the boy with a smile. "Of course you can! But just know that if you ever decide to change your mind, I, your Father, and you brother will support you whichever way we can to make you happy!" The mother brightly responded with a smile as the young boy giggled as they walked away.

Y/N on the other hand continued walking while thinking about the kid's goal. 

"Keep thinking like that kid... maybe you'll become something more than I could ever be with the support of your loved ones..."  Y/N thought while looking down at his gloved hand that covered his 'command seal' as his friend dubbed it.

"But is there hope for me to become something more?... am I still savable from this garbage boring life of mine?" Y/N debated to himself before shaking his head and walking towards his job in silence.

Sorry for being on hiatus for a while. Some stuff happened in my personal life but now it's all resolved so I can finally get back to writing chapters! (Also the Wifi went out) I probably won't be posting till Thanksgiving break since I got a lot of tests the upcoming week to focus on. Other than that, have a good Friday!

P.S. The reason I unpublished the second Chapter so many times was because I was having seconds thoughts on it but after a little motivation from my good friend I decided to publish it with the other chapter (This one). Sorry if it was repetitive on publishing and unpublishing the chapter so much :(
