Jade's POV
As me and Jet are carefully coming home from school, I remember to tell him my theory about Flint.
"So Jet" I whisper "do you remember that idiot named Flint" "how could I not" Jet said with a laugh "it was awesome when you punched him in the snout! That'll teach him a lesson" he replied still looking amused
"Well..... I talked to Turquoise" Jade noticed how Jet blushed when she said turquoise's name "and she said that Flint was Lady Sapphires son.."
Jets mouth dropped open "No way!" He said, shock written all over his face "anything else" he said? "You already realized this, but he is almost definitely a spy" Jade said.
"Oh" Jet said realization coming to his face "that's why he asked you out. He was suspicious." "So we have to stay away from him" Jade pointed out.
"That was already my plan" Jet said with a shiver
"And we have to tell mom" Jade said with a grumble "that is going to be very interesting"

"How was Emerald Academy?" Our mom asked us as soon as we got home "it's pretty good" Jade said "but theirs this one thing..." Her voice trailed off
"what is it Jade? Come on spit it out." mother insisted "....there was a boy named Flint, and I'm almost positive that he is a spy for Lady Sapphire"
Those words had an instant effect on her mother. Her face looked panicked. "Jade, Jet, you stay away from that boy. Do you hear me?" "Yes mother" they both said
a few hours later
Jade was trying to sleep, but she couldn't stop thinking about her secret. She had the most powerful magic on the continent. She had gemspeak, the power to sense and summon cursed gems.
She had almost used her power today. There was a huge ruby four feet under Flint's left talon. If she had summoned it so it was touching him, he would have disintegrated into ash.
But then everyone would know about her power....
I have to be more careful next time Jade thought
If only that was true.......
