Escape

Jade's POV 

Everything about this day went as bad as possible. But let me tell you the whole story....

earlier today

Me and Jet we're going to school, just like yesterday. When we first saw the school, I saw Turquoise waving to me. I noticed how Jet blushed when he saw her.

 "Hi Jade!" she called "Hey Turquoise!" I said back I rusher over and she said "how are you?" "Pretty good. How are you?" I replied "oksoIhavebeenwonderingcouldyouteachmewhatyoudidtoflint?" she said quickly "umm I didn't catch that" I said. Turquoise looked a little embarrassed "can you teach me to do what you did to Flint?" "Of course. Why?" I said curiously 

She looked a bit nervous to tell me this, but eventually she said "Flint flirts with me nonstop. I don't want anything to do with him, but he's a prince, so I'm worried what will happen to me if I reject him." Turquoise said quietly

Oh. That's why Turquoise acts so nervous around Flint. "Hey" I playfully bumped her shoulder and said "when we come back outside, I'll teach you how to whoop Flint's butt" her smile became a little more real.

"Alright" Turquoise said happily "we have to go to history now though." Jade made a face. "Bleh. I hate history. What's the point to learn about things that already happened?" Jade demanded Turquoise giggled "come on miss history-hater. We have to get to class." "Oh alright." Jade grumbled

"Alright Jade, I'm ready to start!" Turquoise said excitedly. They had finished their school for the day, and Jade was going to show Turquoise some fighting tips. But then her nosy brother came over and said "come on Jade, we have to go home." he said that with a grumpy expression, but that changed when he saw Turquoise. His face lit up. Alright. Jade thought, these two need to properly meet. 

"Jet, in case you don't remember, this is Turquoise." She knew that Jet had remembered Turquoise, in fact, he probably thought about her all night. 

"And Turquoise, this is my brother Jet." "Nice to meet you!" Turquoise said cheerfully "n-nice to meet you t-to." Jet stuttered. And then he just ran off! Jade managed not to roll her eyes. Come on Jet! If you like this girl, you have to actually say more than one word to her!

"Anyway" Jade said quickly "let me show you some-" but she was cut off when she saw eight burly dragons coming her way. They where wearing armor, and the armor had the symbol of Lady Sapphire. "Oh no" Jade thought aloud "what? What are they doing here?" Turquoise said with a worried tone of voice.

I have to warn Jet. That was the first thought that came to my mind. But they were already yelling at him. They said "stop in the name of Lady Sapphire!" They had Jet outnumbered. She had to go help him, but first she had to get Turquoise away from here. "Turquoise, i need you to leave" Jade whispered "but what are they doing? What do they want with your brother?" She asked fear clearly in her voice. 

"Listen Turquoise" jade tried to explain, but then two burly guards came her way. She hissed at them, and they said "stop in the name of Lady Sapphire" the next minute, she was fighting for her life. Turquoise was right next to her, whacking a guard in they head with a stick. Suddenly, she realized that her brother was caught. The two guards he was facing had beat him.

Jade new what she had to do. She hated it, but their was no way to free her brother right now. She saw a clear way that she could fly out, and she yelled "TURQUOISE! THAT WAY!" and she pointed Turquoise nodded, looking terrified. 

Jade and Turquoise shot into the sky, hoping that they could escape. Then Jade saw a big, orange guard catching up to them. So she did an unforgettable thing. She summoned a diamond that was below her, and as soon as she caught it, she threw it with all her might at the guards face.

 He disintegrated instantly. 

No one moved, no one said anything. She would never forget the look of shock on Jets poor, chained face. But they had to keep flying. They flew and flew until their wings almost fell off.

Jade gasped, out of breath. "Jade" Turquoise said slowly "what was that all about?" Jade hesitated. Should she tell her friend her deepest secret? Could she be trusted? I have to tell her the truth. I got her dragged into this, and she deserves to know.

"Turquoise" Jade said "you might want to sit down for this"

"and so" Jade finished "me and my family have been hiding from Lady Sapphire ever since" Turquoise just stood there for a moment and then whispered "Jade, what are we going to do?"

"I know what we are going to do" Jade said calmly "we are going to find the Rebles."
