Mommy and Daddy

My first class was Defense Against the Dark Arts with the new teacher Hermione was complaining about last night. But now she's given me a real reason to hate her. The opening sentence for the entire class wasn't a hi or hello. She stated that there would be no magic in her class. This didn't sit well with anyone in the class, especially not Hermione. She slumped back in the seat next to me when she heard her idiotic plan to just work out of a textbook all year.

"But how are we going to defend ourselves from anything, let alone now that Voldemort," Harry exclaimed. Umbridge laughed to herself after hearing his comment. She turned around and gave him an unsettling look.

"No one likes a liar, Harry," she said softly. She walked slowly towards his texts, never looking away from him. Her heels clicking against the stone floor were the only other thing that filled the air. The tension was immense and made everyone sit on the edge of their seats.

"I'm not lying!" Harry exclaimed, you could tell he was getting more frustrated. His shoulders tensed up and his fists tighten.

"Harry-" She tried to calm him down but it was no use. Everyone knew Potter was sensitive but got forbid if anybody pushed him too far.

"I saw him, he killed Cedric. I fought him and if you think your stupid little textbook-" he yelled.

"Mr. Potter, I'd like to see you in my office after class." Umbridge cut him off. Her voice was sterner and her brows furrowed together. Harry calmed down and simply nodded. She then discarded the interaction and went back to her speech.

"Good going Potter, can never keep your mouth shut, can you?" I turned to see Draco Malfoy snickering towards Harry. He turned to his friend for reconciliation as they all laughed along.

How would I even begin to describe Draco Malfoy? In the simplest terms, he is a spoiled, uncouth, loudmouthed, bratty death eater poster child. All he would have to do was complain to his daddy and the whole school would get shut down. He's the type of boy that deflects and bullies due to his own pathetic insecurities, and on top of it all, he was a Slytherin.

I could tell Harry was already at a loss for words from his previous conversation so I figured someone had to help him. "Pack it up, daddy issues. Nobody wants to hear daddy's little boy's intolerable bickering. " I growled.

"I know you aren't talking Lyre, why don't we talk about your Mommy and Daddy, huh?" He said cockily. He knew exactly what to say to piss me off.

"You don't know what you're talking about, Malfoy. If I were you, I'd shut your damn mouth before you get yourself hurt." I retorted.

"Oh, so you don't want to talk about how they were at-" He said. I yelled something out soon enough for him to stop talking. Although, it gained the attention of a couple of other students.

"Malfoy-" I exclaimed. I was ready to go completely off but Mrs. Umbridge stopped me. We snapped our head towards the front of the classroom to look at her.

"Don't make it detention, Mrs. Lyre." she smiled and turned back towards the board. Is she intentionally that bitchy?

I glanced once more at Malfoy, he looked more than pleased with himself. He sent me a cocky snicker and jokily stuck his tongue out at me. I rolled my eyes and turned my attention back to the lesson before I got myself mad again. He knew what he was doing. Usually, I can handle dumbass comments like that, but none have been about my parents. He had real shit on me, considering how close our families are. If anyone of my friends were to find out about it, they would never want to talk to me again considering Harry's situation.
