"Hey Shannon, do you take requests?" I ask.

Everyone looks at me with a curious or intrigued expression. I'm not usually one to express myself with requests, especially with the love-cheesy song I have in mind.

"Yeah, as long as I know it, I do." Shannon confirms.

"Well, I'm pretty sure everyone knows it..."

"What's your request?"

I go over to Shannon's side and whisper in her ear the name of the song. Her jaw slightly drops.

"Really?" She ponders.

"Yeah." I nod, backing up and returning to Douxie's side.

I sit down next to him and Darci, and lean my head on Doux's shoulder. Shannon shrugs and gets a good hold on her guitar.

"Ok, here we go. One cheesy song for you couples... I guess."

She clears her throat,

"Wise men say... Only fools rush in, but I can't help falling in love with you..."

All of the girls gasp upon realizing what song this is. Mary leans forward to snap a picture of Douxie and I, or maybe a quick recording? Something like that.

"Shall I stay? Would it be a sin? If I can't help falling in love with you? Like a river flows, surely to the sea,"

Lauri starts us all going by gently patting her legs along to the rhythm. Soon enough, we're all swaying and patting with her.

"Darling, so it goes, some things are meant to be~."

"Take my hand, take my whole life too~... For I can't help falling in love with you... For I... can't help falling in love with you..."

She strums the last note, before stopping, and awkwardly rubbing the nape of her neck.

"Sorry guys. I don't remember the rest."

"It's fine!"

"You sing and play beautifully!"

"You're really good, Shannon!"

Shannon blushes and thanks everyone for their compliments. Douxie hums a very quiet note which catches only my attention. I look up at him and ask faintly what's up with him. He shakes his head and looks at me with a love-struck gaze.

"You sure?" I ask.

He looks down at the dirt before smiling brightly and standing up. Douxie extends a hand down to me and I take it, curiously.

"I wanna show you something." He tells me.

Mary -- who overheard-- quickly gasps and stands up.

"Oooh! Are you going to take her to the K-I-S-S-I-N-G tree??"

"Yeah." Douxie answers before I can say anything.

My face turns a bright beet red. Mary giggles and I scowl at her. I point a finger to her face and say,

"You better not follow us!!"

She rolls her eyes, "Oh come on, I'm not THAT invading."

"You better not be."
