Darkness. That's all there was to life now. A never ending darkness. Chained up in this basement like the animal I was believed to be, I welcomed it's presence. I allowed it to seep through my chest and wind itself tightly around my cold, emotionless heart.
Feelings other than anger and rage were slowly becoming more and more alien to me as my body becomes accustomed to the pain inflicted on it daily.
Memory's of a young girl whose innocence allowed her to turn a blind eye to the evils of this world begins to slowly fade, and in her place was the cold, unfeeling monster who now saw only evil as she laid among the filth and grime of the cellar floor.
In simpler terms I was... broken.
Like a fragile doll I was tossed aside and shattered leaving only a shadow of the person I once was. My new persona seemed to only crave the un-merciless torture of those who did this to me, though whatever was left of my old self screamed out to me; telling me it was wrong, only to be swiftly drowned out as the cravings once more consumed me. Twisting my sanity a little further with each dark thought.
But I had no use for sanity in the place I was going. After all Hell was where the mad man lie, wasn't it?
So no longer could I resist to those urges, giving myself to the thing I once feared the most. I gave myself to the darkness...
