Chapter 9
At the funeral
Kuroo's POV
I feel so bad for Kitten. He didn't deserve this, but we can't change the past. We have to keep moving on.
"Kenma... let's go home. You look tired. You need rest." Kenma was weak and tired. He had been up at the funeral since last night, and it was now 10 pm
"No, just a little longer. Maybe she will wake up." Kenma's dad came up and said
"It's too late. She's gone. She won't wake up. Get it through your head that she's gone."
"No, I can't be like that. Maybe she just sleeping, or this is some game." Kenma starts to cry again
"It's too late. This isn't a game; Kenma, you're not a kid anymore. You need to face reality." He starts to yell at Kenma to face reality
"THAT'S ENOUGH!" I yelled
"Kenma, let's go home"
"No, Kenma will be moving in with me, and you can change that," Kenma's dad said with a stern tune
"B-but I want to stay with Kuroo," Kenma said quietly
"I will raise you so you don't end up like her looking down and the casket," He said
"THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH HER, AND DON'T SAY THAT SHE WAS YOUR WIFE!" Kenma screamed with rage in his eyes
"You are my kid, and you will show respect to your elders." he looks down at Kenma with a look of disgust.
*he smacks Kenma*
"WHAT DID YOU DO THAT FOR?" I yell back at him
"That brat deserved it." As he looked down at Kenma
"Now let's go, Brat, before I see red." He grabs Kenma and shoves him into his car
No No No that man can not take Kenma from I promised myself that I would protect Kenma I chased after him but it was too late they were gone at this point it started to rain.
I walked into my house soaking wet, and my mom came to me
"What happened? Is everything ok, and where's Kenma?" My mom said
"Kemna's dad took Kenma back with him, but Kenma didn't want to go with him." I start to cry
"What do I do without Kenma? It hurts so bad is there so much pain in life? Want if Kenma doesn't come back, what will I do then?"
"No, sweetheart, Kenma loves you. He will come back to you. There is always love, even in pain." My mother said back to me, patting my head
"I hope you're right," I say as we sit there
I need you, Kenma...
Chapter 10
Kenma's POV
"Hey, Dad, where are you taking me?" I ask, scared though not wanting to get hit again
"First off, don't call me dad; I'm Mr. or Sr. to you, and second, we are heading to my house. Let me make things clear: I will be deciding your path in life so you don't turn out like that woman you call your mother-"
"DON'T SAY THAT!" I cut him off
"Do you want to be slapped again? If not, be quiet?" He says, obviously annoyed
"No, Sr," I say back
"Good, since you started at the school, you can keep going there, but once you graduate, I'm choosing your college, and you can still be in volleyball, but if you are, you must stay home after it's over, understand?"
"Yes," I say back, but at this point, I drift off into a state of dream. I want to be with Kuroo and not with my dad. I am glad that he will let me stay in volleyball and get to go to school with my friends, but I want to be with Kuroo, cuddling and playing my game. I have never felt this way before. Why I am in pain ... I want to be home... home with Kuroo and the team with Yaku, Lev, Yamamoto, and Inuka. I want to be home...
*time skip*
Yaku's POV
All of the team was worried about how Kenma was and how his dad was treating him. Kuroo told us about how Kenma's dad was treating him at the funeral, and we just can hope that it will be better. As we all walk into morning practice, we all are hoping that Kenma can still play volleyball; as the palm tree (Lev) was setting up the net, we finally saw Kenma walk in
"Look, guys, it's Kenma~san," Lev yells
We all go over and hug him while asking questions like
"I hope you feel better."
"Is your dad treating you well?"
And Yamamoto adds: "DO WE NEED TO BEAT HIM UP FOR HURTING YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE OUR SETTER."
I slap him, Yamamoto please, we will not condone violence
"Says you, Mister slaps and kicks me," Yamamoto says, rubbing his face where I slapped him
"DO YOU WANT DEMON MOOD?" I scream back
"No Sr" He backs off
"Good, now getting back to Kenma." Now that the rest of the team knows not to mess with me
"Kenma, are you good? If he does hurt you you can live with Kuroo. Your mom put that in her will."
What I said made Kenma's eyes lit up. Kenma was about to say something, but Nekomata's coach said it was time to start practice. We will just have to find out after practice.
