I took a deep breath, which ended up being very choppy. I squeezed Kaycee's hand. She seemed off this morning, muttering something about revenge.
"JOSIE!" My teacher yelled. "An honor to see you healthy and in my studio again." I smiled at him trying to think of what to say. Instead, Kaycee dragged me in.
"Hello Mr. Falsetta! As you know, Kaycee's leg in still not in the best condition. The doctor didn't give us much information, but we want her healthy as soon as possible." As Kaycee continued to give him my medical information, I looked around. I looked at myself in the mirror, and she looked back at me. Almost taunting me. I refocused to Kaycee hitting me.
"I'll stay for the first 10 minutes to make sure everything is okay, then I'll leave," she whispered in my ear. I nodded and went to go stretch.
I dropped myself into Grand Plie in second position. I looked around and saw everyone else doing the same thing. I zoned out until I suddenly felt someone grabbing my arm. I screamed. I don't know why. Something made me scream. I fell. I saw Maia above me smiling. And the entire class staring at me.
"Josie!" She exclaimed. I winced, my leg hurting like hades.
"Maia, my leg." I said. She turned her head, looking confused.
"Right," she said slowly, "pain." I looked at her confused, but she just smiled again.
"GIRLS! Get in line for axel turns." Mr. Falsetta yelled. I picked myself up and walked to the line. I looked out the window and saw Kaycee battling the other parents for window space. I laughed lightly and walked towards Mr. Falsetta.
Suddenly, I felt this feeling in my stomach. Then my leg. Then my arm. Then my head. My breathing went insane.
"Mr. Falsetta." I managed to breath out.
"Mr. Falsetta please." I breathed, but even more strained.
"Jessie?" Mr. Falsetta asked. I started to get angry.
"My name is not Jessie." I said. I started to fell like I was about to fall over. The last thing I saw was Kaycee whispering to the mirror. Something about staying away from me.
