"Evil, I've come to tell you that she's evil, most definitely
Evil, ornery, scandalous and evil, most definitely
The tension, it's getting hotter
I'd like to hold her head underwater
(Summertime)
(Ah, ah, ah)"

"So we're in danger... That ain't good," Victoire sighed sarcastically, plopping down next to a tree in the courtyard. Teddy rolled his eyes, sitting down next to her.

"Pffffft, danger is my middle name," He joked, leaning back until he was laying flat on the ground.

Victoire fell back beside him, elbowing him in the side. "Your middle name is Remus, idiot."

"Goddammit, let me have this!" Teddy grinned, elbowing her back. Victoire laughed, staring at the beautiful clouds above them. "On a more serious note, we're definitely in danger," The Hufflepuff conceded, shading his eyes from the sun with his hand.

"My middle name is danger," Victoire interrupted, smiling up at the sky.

Teddy rolled over, grinning widely at the lovely girl next to him. "I feel like we've been here before," He joked.

"Deja vu,"

"Must be,"

Victoire's fit of laughter was interrupted as two boys' voices cut in. "Teddy? Is that you?" One of them asked as they rounded the corner, stopping short at the sight of the girl next to him. "O-oh, I-I, uh, um, we didn't know you had company," William Nott stuttered, staring at the partially-Veela girl's lovely face. He'd always been particularly vulnerable to that aspect of her Veela powers.

"Hi, Will. Tom." Victoire grinned, pulling herself together. "What'd you guys need?"

Tom smiled bashfully at her, which was odd considering the fact that he was captain of the Hufflepuff quidditch team and one of the most popular students in his year. "We were just wondering if Teddy wanted to come to Hogsmeade with us," He said awkwardly, kicking Will's ankle to stop him from gawking at the Ravenclaw.

"Oh, of course. Go ahead, he's all yours," Victoire conceded, smiling beatifically at the two Hufflepuff boys. Will looked like he was going to faint. Teddy grinned at Victoire, hopping to his feet at her words. "Not even going to help me up? So un-gentlemanlike," The blonde said sarcastically as the metamorphagus turned away towards the others.

Teddy turned around and offered her a hand, grinning at her words. "Of course, because it's perfectly ladylike to roll around in the grass," He teased, pulling her up to standing. Victoire stuck her tongue out at the seventeen-year-old's back as he walked away.

"Okay, what's up with you and Victoire?" Will asked rowdily as they settled into a table at the Three Broomsticks. "Three firewhiskys," He gestured to the serving girl, leaning back in his seat to gaze at Teddy expectantly.

Teddy stared back at him uncomprehendingly. "What do you mean, 'me and Victoire?'"

Tom stared at him, seeming to inspect his face for any hint of understanding. "You and Victoire, like are you two a thing? You've been so buddy-buddy lately, Teddy," He pointed out, raising his eyebrows as if daring him to disagree. Teddy shook his head.

"Are you kidding? No, we're not a thing. She's my friend," He explained, raising his hands in mock surrender. Will and Tom looked at each other disbelievingly. "I mean it!" Teddy protested.

"Well, that's your loss then. That girl is-- Merlin, there are no words. I mean... Have you seen her?" Will said, a smitten expression on his face as he stared dreamily into his drink.

Tom frowned at the other boy. "You only like her because she has Veela blood and she's pretty," He said accusingly, downing the rest of his firewhisky. "Besides, isn't Teddy dating Julie Hawthorne? How did you even pull that off, man?"

Teddy laughed, grinning at his two best-friends. "No way am I giving away my secrets,"

The conversation continued, but Teddy couldn't tear his thoughts away from Victoire's laugh and the way her silvery-blonde hair had spread out across the snowy grass as she'd stared up at the clouds.

Victoire was in the library, searching through every book she could find on someone named 'Morrigan'. It had been nearly a week since they'd found out, and the closest thing she'd found was the definition of the name. According to the book, "The mythological Morrigan was the ancient goddess of war, often symbolized by a crow. Besides being a name, this is also used as a proper noun preceded by an article: the Morrigan, defined as a monster in female form. The meaning of Morrigan has been related to both terror and greatness."

It didn't help much with the worry. A monster in female form? Very helpful, definitely made her feel 100% better about the fact that this person-- or thing-- was after her and the rest of her cousins. Absolutely terrific.

Anyways, since that wasn't much, Victoire decided to go down a different road with her research. There had to be a reason that the Morrigan would be specifically targeting her family. Maybe as revenge for what her Uncle Harry had done to The Dark Lord? It was possible that the Morrigan was a family member, Victoire decided, and reached for a biography about Voldemort.

The family tree was one of the first pages.

There was nobody named Morrigan, Victoire noticed, but he did have a cousin whom she hadn't ever heard about before. Morwenna... It was similar. "Jesus fucking Christ!" Victoire shrieked as a hand touch her shoulder. She spun around, relaxing instantly at the familiar face.

"Jesus, Vic, I didn't mean to scare you," Her cousin Molly giggled, taking a step back. "Whatcha reading?" She asked, leaning against a bookcase as her eyes skimmed over the book titles.

"Nothing interesting," The Ravenclaw said, quickly shutting the one in front of her. "And what are you doing here? I'm sure this is the first time you've ever been in a library," She snickered, sliding the books back into their rightful places. "Seriously though, I've never even seen you touching a book, Molls."

"What can I say? Not my style," The fifteen-year-old grinned. "Anyways, our magnificent Headmistress has summoned all of the Weasley and Potter cousins to her office. I was sent to retrieve you when you didn't show up. James gave me this," She explained, flashing the marauders' map at Victoire. "To help me find you." Molly finished, stretching an arm around her cousin's shoulder.
