20: Storms in Disguise

Normal life continued in the palace like nothing had happened. All the members of the Royal family sat at the dinning to have meals as usual. Natasha returning back to her room suddenly feels like slipping off in the hallway.
Rescued by Mrs Magareth, she was assisted to her room. Mrs Magareth asks if she is alright and she responded positive. "You might be pregnant you know" Mrs Magareth smiled at her.
Natasha's eyes wore a bright expression at the mention of the "pregnancy".
"Ohh no" she thought to herself.
This shouldn't be. She smiled back at Mrs Magareth so there would not be a reason for suspicion. "Please try to rest okay?". She said before leaving.

It was soon time for launch, and Natasha was called to have launch.

In the middle of the launch, Natasha felt uncomfortable and rushed into the rest room in the presence of everyone. Including Prince Denning and Desmond Darcott.
Queen Loula seemed to be worried about her and she went to meet her at the rest room. She opened the door of the rest room and met her in a state of her throwing up".
"Natasha darling, are you okay?" She asked, shocked to see the queen, she replied positive.
"I don't think you are sweetheart, I will arrange for the physicians to come check up on you dear." She tried to comfort her daughter in-law. She called for a palace messenger to send for the palace physicians.
Queen Loula helped her into her room and not too long two physicians of the palace came in. The queen instructed them to conduct a check up on her.
A check up was conducted on Natasha and it was discovered that she was three weeks pregnant.

Queen Loula who thought she ought to be glad to hear about the news was confused about the information. "Three weeks?" She confirmed.
She seemed to be doing some calculations in her head. It's been just 5 days since Prince Denning came back to Banzir, how come she is three weeks pregnant?

"Who is responsible Natasha?" Queen Loula asked her. Natasha knew she could not lie about it, she rather knew she had to confess now.

Sobbing "I'm really sorry your highness, Desmond Darcott is responsible". She could not have the guts look up to the Queen's face to tell her that. "What did you say Natasha?" Queen Loula asked again to know if she heard her right. Natasha had no guts to repeat herself she was consumed with the fear of the queen.
The physicians we're all surprised at the scenario going on in the room, they excused themselves and left the Palace.

Queen Loula held Natasha's hand and dragged her downstairs to the dinning room to face king Fannice. Glad, that everyone was present including Desmond and Prince Denning, she approached the Dinning in anger and wildness. Her actions didn't go unnoticed that king Fannice had to question Queen Loula about what the matter was.
" Your highness, Natasha is pregnant..", "okay, that's a good news I suppose?" King Fannice asked in confusion. "It would have been only if she was pregnant for your son" Queen said.

King Fannice wore a questioning look, "what do you mean queen Loula?" "Natasha?" King Fannice directed the question to her this time, "tell me now that Denning is responsible for your pregnancy".
She could not have the guts to face him.
"Ohh, I see? You don't have an answer to my question?"

"Tell me now, who is responsible for that pregnancy?" king Fannice roared to the amazement of everybody.

Before Natasha could reply, Desmond Darcott decided to face the situation with his chest " I am responsible your highness". He blurted out
All eyes turned towards him. "It didn't mean to turn out this way your majesty, besides Prince Denning never consummated his marriage at any point out of displeasure of betrothal to someone he doesn't love. It wasn't my right to do that for him either and I apologise to him for that but I have nowhere to hide the fact that I love Natasha. I am not running away from facing the preceeding consequences your majesty". He bowed to the king.
"You have done so foolishly young man, despite giving your our home and respect, you still bring have the guts to bring betrayal to this family. You had the guts to sleep with my son's wife? And you have the guts to call her your lover before my face? What an insult to my royalty.

King Fannice asked his guards to take both him and Natasha and meet him at the Royal chapter where the king and all the Royal executive of Banzir will make a final judgement.
