Jaehwa walked with Johnny into the large business building, one that you can see from any corner of the city. Mark followed closely behind the two, a pen and notebook in hand.
"I'm Detective Seo. We're here to see Mr. Kim Doyoung." Johnny informed the receptionist once they arrived. She nodded her head, giving them instructions on how to reach Doyoung's office.
After a long elevator ride, they made it onto the office floor, filled with workers. It was clear that each person that was part of Kim's Enterprise was a busy person, bustling about to accomplish their tasks.
Eventually they met Doyoung's secretary who brought them straight to Doyoung's office. She knocked on the door before opening, revealing a man sitting on one of the two couches inside in the luxurious office.
Doyoung was definitely a business man. The way he held himself and acted, even in the five seconds that Jaehwa had seen this man, it was clear that he was used to being the person of power in the room.
"Hello, detective." Doyoung said, shaking Johnny's hand. "How are you?"
"I'm good." Johnny replied. "I hope you don't mind that I brought my two assistants."
"No, not at all." Doyoung said, giving them a small smile. "Please, take a seat."
"As you probably heard, I've decided to open up your brother's murder case once again." Johnny said once they were all settled.
"Yes, if you don't mind, may I ask why? The culprit was already arrested, no?" Doyoung asked.
"Yes, the last detective closed the case after arresting Jeong Jaehyun but after a complaint was filed, I realized that there wasn't enough evidence so I've decided to open it up again." Johnny informed him.
"Oh. I mean what more evidence do you need, weren't the fingerprints on the body enough to prove that the terrible man behind bars right now was my brother's killer?" Doyoung asked.
How dare you talk about my brother like that?!
Jaehwa took a deep breath, trying not to show her anger.
Jaehyun didn't kill him!
On the other hand, Johnny was perfectly calm as he handled the sitution. "It's hard to say without the murder weapon being found."
"Oh. I see. Well if you need anything, I'm here to help." Doyoung said, shifting in his seat.
"This must be very uncomfortable for you so I appreciate your time." Johnny said, probably noticed Doyoung's movements as well.
Jaehwa was curious to see what Doyoung had to say as Mark opened up his notebook while Johnny explained the process of the interrogation. Doyoung nodded along with Johnny's words, agreeing to continue.
"Alright, so you were reportedly the last person to see Dowon before his body was found, can you inform us of everything that happened the last time you saw him?" Johnny asked.
Doyoung nodded his head, taking a deep breath. It was already clear that many words were going to be exiting his mouth.
"Dowon and I have always wanted to go on a camping trip together, just us two brothers but with the company, it's been hard to find time. Eventually, we were able to slide it in though." Doyoung began.
"It was a dark and stormy night, making it difficult to see. We were taking the road up the mountain, Dowon driving the two of us. It was all going well until the car slipped and we went off the rails and down the side."
"Thankfully, we didn't fall far, hitting a tree that stopped the car from going any futher. We both suffered from minor cuts and bruises, but aside from that, we were fine."
