Once Mark had arrived, Johnny drove the three of them to the fancy restaurant where they were meeting Doyoung.

The ride was actually quite long as the restaurant was located on the outskirts of the city. It was clear that Doyoung didn't want anyone accidentally bumping into them during their chat.

As they arrived, Jaehwa noticed that the restaurant actually wasn't that fancy but gave off an authentic vibe. Jaehwa liked it a lot, as being a Viper gave her little time to enjoy things like this.

As they walked in, they already saw Doyoung sitting at a table in the corner on the patio. He lifted his head as they joined him.

Jaehwa couldn't tell how Doyoung was feeling about them being there. His face was neutral, showing no emotion whatsoever.

Jaehwa recalled what Taeha had mentioned about the male.

He's an actor. You can't trust him.

"How are you all today?" Doyoung asked as they settled down at the table.

"Good, and you?" Johnny asked.

"Could be better." Doyoung mumbled before motioning to the menus with his chin. "Order anything you like, it's on me."

Why is he being nice? Jaehwa thought as she eyed the menu full of expensive items in front of her.

They quickly made their orders, waiting for the waiter to leave before beginning.

"So you talked to Taeha." Doyoung stated once the waiter was out of earshot.

"We did." Johnny confirmed. "She told us everything on her side and where we can ask you fofr more clarification."

Doyoung let out a deep sigh. "Look, I didn't want to lie."

"I know." Johnny quickly said. "It's a natural defense mechanism, plus you didn't know who's side we were on."

Side?  Jaehwa could tell Mark was equally as confused.

"Well." Doyoung said, lacing his hands together. "Now that I know that you're not one of my father's men, we can have a proper chat."

A smile appeared on Johnny's face.

"We would love that."

...

Johnny could tell Jaehwa and Mark were very confused with just one glance at their faces.

Johnny hadn't told them but he had actually spoken on the phone with Taeha before meeting up with Doyoung.

They had spoken about how Doyoung had previously lied to them, covering up his brother's tracks. Taeha had explained how that was natural for Doyoung to be careful, as his father was more involved than one would think.

Mr. Kim had many connections, especially with people of power. It was actually quite scary at times, the things Mr. Kim knew. She told Johnny that in order to get Doyoung to really talk, you needed to get him far away from the buisness building and Taeha would let him know that they weren't his father's men.

Which brings Johnny to where he is now.

"So, you helped your brother fake his death?" Johnny asked. Doyoung nodded. "Why don't you tell us what really happened that night?"

"First of all, the car didn't slip. We purposedly ran the car off the road. It was quite risky, but we visited that area many times to ensure that we could do it safely."

"After the crash Dowon left as fast as he could, trying to get as far from the site as possible. We came up with the story of him slipping, which we thought was pretty believable until you came around." Doyoung said with a scoff.
