"You did?" Jaehwa asked.

She thought she would be surprised but at this point, nothing really surprised her anymore.

Ten nodded his head. "Just the two of us though, Jaehyun didn't want anyone else involved."

"Makes sense." Johnny muttered.

"You probably want to hear more about it, don't you?" Ten asked.

"We would appreciate that." Jaehwa said, Johnny nodding in agreement.

"Well there's actually a male that Jaehyun's been trying to recruit for a while, I don't know if you know him but his name is Taeyong." Ten began.

"I do, we met him. He works at the café beside the station." Jaehwa told him.

"Yeah, apparently he was getting beaten up by one of those lame gangs once at a club for looking at one of their girls the wrong way. Jaehyun had witnessed the whole thing and knew that Taeyong had done nothing wrong so he helped the poor boy out." Ten informed them.

"Jaehyun had offered a place with the Vipers but Taeyong rejected so Jaehyun told him if he ever needed anything, just give him a call and he'll help him out. I wasn't expecting him to actually follow through with that."

"Anyways, one day Taeyong came by, I'm not sure if you were here. I noticed but I don't think many people did since Jaehyun pulled him to the back right away." Ten said to them.

That's probably why I recognized him, Jaehwa thought.

"A few days later, Jaehyun asked me to accompany him to a meeting. I didn't know what it was for until I got there and saw Dowon." Ten said with a deep sigh, running his fingers through his hair.

"Jaehyun had already agreed to giving him one of our old cars and letting him do the deal, I just had to set it up and meet with him on the day of, but the problem is, he never came."

"He didn't?" Johnny asked, making sure they had heard correctly.

Ten nodded his head. "I waited there all night, sitting in the vehicle waiting for him but he never came. Eventually, I had to do the deal myself."

Jaehwa glanced at Johnny wondering if he was thinking the same thing she was.

Something's off.

"I'm sorry, Jaehwa. I wish I could give you all the answers you two need but that's all I have." Ten told them.

"It's alright, you've helped us a lot." Jaehwa said, Johnny nodding in agreement.

"Well, if there's anything else you need me to do, let me know. I want to help in any way that I can." Ten said, giving them a small smile.

"Thank you so much for your time." Johnny said as they got up, getting ready to leave.

"No problem." Ten said before smirking. "Just do me a favour and take care of Jaehwa for me."

"Ten!" Jaehwa exclaimed, but Johnny didn't seem the least bit fazed.

"Don't worry, I will."

...

"What now?" Jaehwa asked, breaking the silence.

They had returned to her trailer after visiting the gang, both of them stumped.

"It's kind of like we hit a dead end." Johnny said. "I honestly don't know what to do."

"Me neither." Jaehwa sighed.

One look at Johnny and it was obvious that he was feeling stressed, so she crawled over, putting her legs over him as she hugged his body.
