NIAOMI'S POV

Last night was magical! I am so happy I finally talked to Reina. It feels like a huge weight off my shoulders. Just being wrapped in her arms sent my heart rate up. As we were pulling up to my house I was just hoping that she would ask for my number, and she did! All my dreams were answered.

After I woke up from my amazing sleep. I began to get ready for school and headed downstairs for breakfast.

"Good morning Mommy and Daddy." I said in a sing-song type voice.

"Good morning sweetheart. Someone is in a happy mood." My Dad said looking over his newspaper. I nodded my head and sat down at the table.

"How was your sleep?" My mom asked me handing me my plate.

"It was great!" I exclaimed stuffing my mouth with food and rushing to the door.

"Bye!" I yelled over my shoulder heading for my car. I drove up to school, and as soon as I walked in I saw Kelly with an open mouth and wide eyes speed walking towards me.

"Girl what happened to you last night? I haven't seen that side of you before. Your usually a little bit more uptight. No offense." She spat out like she had been waiting to tell me all her life.

"I don't even know what happened to ME last night, so I can't answer that question."

"Shoot, don't get mad at me, but I was digging that dude you was dancing with."

"Its all cool. Like I said I don't like him. And where did you go when the party got shut down?"

"Girl, all I remember is I was getting it in with that dude and all I heard was people yelling "Hootie Hoo!". So we got dressed, exchanged numbers, and headed for the door. I started looking for you, but I couldn't find you. I even tried calling you, but you didn't answer, so I headed out. Speaking of the police. Where did you go when the party got raided?" She questioned. I think I should tell her. She deserves to know, she's my best friend. I need someone to release all my excitment and Kelly's the right person.

"Kelly, I have something to tell." I knew I had to tell her. There was no turning back at this moment.

"What girl?" She asked. I wonder if she's prepared to find out my biggest secret.

I'm gay." I tried to say as nonchalantly as ever, but it came out like water in a stocked up pipe.

"Oh, I know. Anything else?" She said as if I told her B came after A.

"What do you mean you already know?!"

"Oh it was so obvious. I mean I could tell, but I didn't want to believe it you know? But the day when my cousin Renee came to visit I saw the way y'all were staring at each other, and knew something was up. Then there was that day when I came over and a book feel out of your desk. It took me a while to figure out it was your diary, but when I did I already read a lot. " She said while we were walking down the hallway towards our class. When she told me that she read MY personal diary I almost smacked the hell out of her. Now that I think about Renee and I ended up messing around. She was ight. She was a hoe though.

"So, what do you think?" I asked because I cared about what she thinks of me, but it wasn't going to change anything.

"It ain't nothing. I really don't care. Just don't be no hoe." She joked. We walked into 's. Powell's class and sat down in the back like always.

"So you know everything?" I asked pulling out my books.

"Yeah, and I finally put a face to Riena. When the party got raided you left with her didn't you? And that was messed up when you started dancing with her cousin." She said the last part like I didn't already know.
