I wake up first.

Bailey is sprawled out beside me, her hand on my stomach.

I gently lift her head up, and lay it down on the side of the couch.

"Happy birthday, beautiful." I lean down and kiss her cheek.

Cars and trucks honk from below, and I step out onto the balcony.

The cool air rushes my face, and I take a deep breath.

"Hey." A familiar voice says from behind me.

"Happy birthday, Bai!"

She smiles, and thanks me.

"I have to take you to get some cake! And then they can sing happy birthday to you!"

Bailey snickers, and wrinkles her nose.

"No way. I'm up for the cake part, but they're not aloud to sing."

I wrap my arm around her shoulders, and direct her into the hotel.

RaeAnne and Austin are awake now, smiling at Bailey.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" They say together.

"Thanks!" She smiles at them, and dismisses herself to take a shower.

I take this as my chance.

"We need to do something special for Bailey. Let's buy her a cake when we go out to eat tonight, and we can eat it there. You two can go to the cake shop while I take her out to go shopping. Sound okay?" I ask.

"Sure, let me find one really quick!" Austin sits down with his phone, and begins looking for a cake shop, with RaeAnne right beside him.

I have become very fond of Rae. I love her like a sister. She is very pretty.

Bailey comes out in a yellow dress, and her hair in a braid.

"You look beautiful!" RaeAnne says.

"Thanks..." Bailey's face heats, and I smile.

"Yeah, you look amazing." I tell her.

She smiles at me, and we all go out for our day of fun.
