I call Austin, RaeAnne, Brandon, anyone, asking if they've heard from Bailey.

I have gone everywhere, looking for her.

She won't answer her texts or calls, and I can't stop crying.

I can't lose her.

Rain is starting to fall from the black sky, and I press the gas pedal.

I have to find her.

My phone rings from the passenger chair.

It's Bailey.

"Hello?! Bailey, tell me where you are."

I begin to panic, and pull over to the side of the road.

"Brooks, come to the apartment parking lot. It's an emergency. Hurry."

She hangs up, and I whiz back into the traffic.

Five minutes later, I jump the curb into our lot.

Bailey is standing under a awning with a little girl in her hands.

I leap out of my truck, and run to her side.

This baby is barely five months old, and she is screaming.

"Unlock the door. Hurry." Bailey whispers to me.

I shakily unlock the front door, and Bailey runs through, changing the baby into her spare clothes, from when she was a child.

"Shhhh, shhh. Don't cry. You're okay." Her voice is so peaceful, that I almost fall asleep while watching this child.

"She had a note under her blanket that said take good care of my child. Brooks, whoever this was, left this baby for us to take care of. We are her parents now. And if you don't want that responsibility, than please tell me now, because I will find someone who does."

My head is spinning.

This child? Ours?

My heart speeds up.

Bailey is watching me with big eyes, and I look back at her.

"So this means, you aren't going to break up with me?"

She shakes her head slowly, and looks down at the baby.

"No."

"Okay, than yes. I will keep this child with you."

I am now a father. We are parents.
