The Appointment

I skipped over about 3 months because if i didnt the story would go no where. JJ is now 4 months pregnant

JJ's POV

I wake up in a familiar bed this morning. Ilook over to my right and i see a sleeping Emily. I sit up and get out of bed, rubbing the sleep from my eyes. The first thing i do after getting out from the comfortable bed is check my phone. It is 6:45, "why do i always get up so early" i muttered to myself under my breath. As i am checking the weather for the dang i get a notification that soon makes me remember what is happeneing today. Today was the day, the day when i finally get to find out if im having a boy or a girl. I am so excited i can barely keep myself together. I make sure to keep quiet as not to wake Emily so, i just look in the mirror and shoot myself a gigantic smile. Of course i was a little nervous but my hapiness over powered and took over my body. I went over to the closet and picked out a loose white blouse and some tight-ish jeans. I was starting to get a baby bump so i could't wer any of my tight ants anymore. 'I think its time i go shopping' i think to myself as i finish getting dressed. I walk to the kitchen and grab a banana, i never used to eat breakfast but now all i do is eat. I was just about to grab a water from the fridge when i hear foot steps on the hard wood. I turn around to see Emily in her pajamas walking towards me. "Good morning" i say to her while turning back to the fridge and grabbing the water i greatly needed. "Morning" she said to me in a groggy voice. I smile to myself as she clears her throat. "So, what time is your appointment today?" she asked me while taking a sip from my water, "wow, you remembered" i said in a high pitched voice. I was surprised she hadn't forgot because i certainly did. "Uh, yea, of couse i remembered, how could anyone forge-" she paused mid sentance then started laughing to herself, "you forgot didn't you" she said in between breaths, "shut up" i say as i start to laugh with her "at least i set a reminder or i might not have gone" i say. "I'm gonna start getting ready, it won;t take long" she said walking back to the bedroom. About 15 minutes later she walked out of the room in a red button up with the sleeves rolled up and some tight black slacks. She looked amazing, i almost forgot to breath as she stepped out of the room rolling up her sleeve one last time. "Ready" she asked me while stepping out of the door frame. I had moved all of my toiletries to the guest bathroom because it was just easier so i had been ready for a while."Yup" i answered as i got up from the couch. "Cool lets go" she said to me grabbing our lunches and walking over to the door. We got in the car and drove to the BAU. We didn't have a case today so it was a paperwork day, which we all dreaded. We pulled up and parked in the spot closest to the entrance. When we stepped inside i walked over to my office while Emily walked to her desk. My appointment wasn't unitl noon so i decieded to try and get all my work done before then so i didn't have to take it home tonight.

Emily's POV

I walked over to my desk after parting ways with JJ. I was about to start my paperwork when i felt giant hands cover my eyes. "Guess who" a deep, huskey voice said. "Hmm, well, by the deep voice im gonna take a wild guess, Spencer". "Girl, are you on something" the voice said with a higher pitch tone. I felt the hands come off my eyes and i squinted at how bright the lights were. I turned around and saw Morgan behind me. "Of course" i say while rolling my eyes. Derick puts his arm around me and gives me a kiss on the forehead. "Oh come on princess, you know i was just playin" he says in a mischievous tone with a smirk on his face. "What ever 'chocolate thunder'" i say while putting quotes around the last two words. He laughed and took his arm out from around my shoulders. "I brought you a coffee but since you were mean, i think ill take it" he said while walking away. "NO, IM SORRY" i screamed so that he didnt walk away. I was in desperate need to caffine and he wasn't about to tease me like that. "Fine, but it'll cost you" he said as a smirk appeared on his face. "You have to prank Spence but make him think that Garcia did it, if you fail you will have to buy me lunch for the rest of the week but if you win ill buy you lunch, deal". "Oh youre on" i said to him smiling. Derick gave me my coffee and bopped me on the head. A girl from the first floor came in just as i play hit Morgan on the chest. She came up to us and said "you guys make a really cute couple". Morgan and i both started to laugh histerically. The woman look confused so i tried to calm my laughter down as i said "We arn't a couple, hes just my really annoying bestfriend". "Oh" the girl said as her face turned bright pink "sorry". Derick immediately stopped laughing when he saw the girl get embarassed, "it not a big deal, i promis, how about you make it up to me by going out to dinner tonight, my treat", the girl turned an even darker shade of pink and nodded her head. Derick took her phone out of her hand and added his number. She walked away quickly. "You are such a player" i said to him befre taking a sip of my coffee. "Yea but, i have a adte tonight and you don't"he said to me through a big smile. I rolled my eyes and walked over to my desk, which was right next to his, and started to get my paperwork done. About 2 hours later i checked the clock and noticed that it was 11:02, 'i gotta go get JJ' i thought to myslef. I get up out of my chair and go to JJ's office. I knock on the door and hear a soft "come in". I turn the knob and walk in, shutting the door behind me. "You almost ready"i say as i walk over to the beautiful blonde sitting before me, "yea" she answered slowly almost as if she had a question but couldn't think of it, "wait, are you coming with me" she said while standing up. "Obviously" i say with a smile. She runs over and hugs me tight "thank you" the petite blonde says, "don't thank me, no on eshould have to be alone at this appointment". She stepped back from the hug and grabbed her purse as i waited for her by the door. We walked out, me first then her afer shuting the door behind her, and walked over to Hotch's office.

JJ's POV

I knocked on Hotch's door then opened it. "Hey Hotch, Emily and i have to go for my appointment" i said peeping my head through the door. "Ok, good luck" he said. "Thank" i replied back as i pulled my head back out of the door and shut it. I told the team about the pregnancy and about Will about 2 months ago. I couldn't keep teh secret any longer so i decieded to tell them. They were all excepting and happy for me, i told that if i need anything they'd be there for me. I also told them how i am staying with Emily and everyone understood. We headed out of the office and went to the car. It was about a half an hour car ride so we started our journey at 11:18. We arrived just in time and sat in the waiting room. "Jeniffer Jareau" the nurse called my name to come to the back to the examination room. Emily followed me close behind. The nurse lead us the the room then left us alone to get comfortable. i stopped cold in my tracks when we reached the door. Emily noticed something was off and instictivly took my hand in hers. We interlocked fingers and she rubbed the top of my hand with ther thumb. That seemed to bring me back to reality so after a second i proceded forward into the room. I layed down onto the bed next to the ultrasound machine. Emily was still holding my hand tight, which comforted me, and sat down in a chair next to the bed. The doctor walked in soon after we did and continued to talk about what they will be doing today. I nodded and looked at Emily, she seemed connfused but stayed intent on keeping me comfortable, which i was greatful for. "Are you ready" the doctor asked. I nodded my head than let out a small "yes". He put the cold gel on my stomach and started looking around for the baby. Tears welled up in my eyes once i saw my baby pop up on the screen. Emily took her free hand and wiped a tear off of my cheeke. "Your baby looks perfect and healthy" he said smiling "would you like to know the gender" he said. I nodded "yes please". "Its a boy". The words came out of the doctors mouth so calm and clear. "I'll leave you two, i'll be back in a few minutes" he said before walkng out the door. I look over at Emily who has tears in her eyes now. She is staring at the screen in awe. She looks back at me after noticing my eyes on her. She gets up and hugs me tight. "Emily im happy, i really am but, i am so scared". Emily looked at me and without missing a beat i felt her lips on mine. She pulled back after a few moments "Im sorry" were the first words out of her mouth. "Don't be" i said shyly. She looked up at me with fear in her eyes "no im sorry that was wrong", "Em, its ok". She wiped the tears from her face and said "JJ, you have nothing to be scared of, you are going to be the best mom ever". I almost melted at her words and to be honest there was nothing i wanted more than her lips on mine again, but i couldnt, i couldn't hurt her like that. So insead i said "thank you". The doctor came in a short time later and excused us from the room. I made my next appointment and we stepped out of the office. The rest of the journey home was silent. Emily or i hadn't mentioned the kiss but you could tell we were both thinking of it. We entered Emily apartment after the long car ride, Hotch had excused us from work for the rest of the day. We sat down and ate lunch. After that we decieded that it would just be a lazy day so we watched movies and snacked until it was dark out. We ended up going to sleep not taking about what had happened at the doctors office. Emily fell asleep fast but i tossed and turned until i finally fell asleep.

Emily's POV

I woke up to an empty bed, as i usually did. JJ always got up before me and ate. I decided to get dressed before greeting JJ today so i toss on a black pantsuit with a white turtle neck underneith. As i step out into the living room i notice a note on the front door that read, 'Dear Emily, i went into work early to finish my paperwork from yesterday, we need to talk when we get home tonight, Love JJ'. I always loved that JJ signs every letter she writs with Love, even if she doesn't know the person. I snapped out of my daydreaming when i remembered that she wanted to talk tonight, and i knew just what she wanted to talk about.
