"Meet me near the school gate, tomorrow, after rehearsals. " The message read.

I'd been waiting for her reply for almost a week now but when I look at the words I received, it terrifies me.

But, if I let her into my life, she first needs to know about me, and God knows it isn't easy.

"How long are we gonna walk silently? I thought you had something important to tell." Bianca's voice is low and cold.

"Uh.. Yeah.. I do, actually. " I say, trying my best not to stammer, but failing miserably. "Okay, the thing is that.. that I.. I like you."

"What?" She stops. "But.. Really, Neil? Then what about Aahana?" She looks even more disappointed.

"What about her?"

"Do you think that I don't know that you like her?"

"Aahana? What? No." I frown. "Why would you say that?"

"Really? After ignoring me to spend all your precious time with her, you're asking me why? If this is some kind of sick joke, then I'm telling you, it's so not funny!"

"Look, I accept I haven't been very good to you but trust me, I'm being completely honest with you right now and this has nothing to do with Aahana, she's just like a friend."

"Well, it didn't look like that." She scoffs and continues her pace almost furiously.

The situation is getting worse than I expected.

"Please." I ran a bit to grab her by the elbow to stop her. "Listen to me this once, please and then you can do whatever you decide, I won't stop you."

She bites her lower lip but doesn't argue anymore.

"Let's sit and talk." She glares at me but stomps her way towards a bench on the sidewalk where we both sit.

"So, as I said earlier, I like you. I really do." She crosses her arms across her chest and tilts her head upward. She looks so angry, yet so lovely that my heart is almost trying to rip off of my chest.

Damn she's beautiful.

I take a deep breath to distract my interrupting thoughts and continue-

"I've liked you since the very first time I saw you and I like each and every of your actions and-"

"And I wonder what persuaded you to treat me like that—worse than a stranger." She cuts me off.

"I know. I'm sorry and you deserve to be angry with-"

"Of course, I do."

"Bianca, I'm not a very good person. I am... You're just safer without me."

"You called me to say that? Who are you to decide?" She finally looks at me with her brows furrowed. "But please don't tell me that you're a vampire, or a werewolf or anything like that."

"Wh..what?" I clear my throat to stop myself from laughing. "No, I'm a human. I swear. " She rolls her eyes and looks away.

"Just tell me what you have to say."

"I'm here because I was trying to run away from my mistakes but it seems like it's still following me. "

"Stop with the riddles, will you? I'm not understanding anything here." She is extremely irritated and out of patience, I can see that.
