he was feeling suffocated, scared as hell. he was praying that everything would be fine, that everything his little omega and he dreamed of will come true.

after hearing the news, that taehyung has to get into an emergency surgery, because there is a possibility that their pup has difficulties with breathing and won't make it, jungkook felt the earth shattering away under his feet.

the scene of taehyung laying on that hospital bed, getting rolled out of his station room, while his face was drained in tears as he kept pleading for all this to just be a bad dream, never left jungkook's mind. it kept replaying like broken record.

"please, pup stop crying, it'll be fine, everything will be fine okay?" jungkook held onto the hand of the omega, trying so much to not cry himself. taehyung's other hand was on his tummy, holding it lightly, as he was afraid to face reality.

"k-kook... our pup is fine right?" jungkook kissed taehyung's palm, brushing with his hand through the omega's curls. "our pup is fine, everything is fine." jungkook tried to not let his tears show in front of taehyung in that moment.

he didn't want to see his mate cry, not when today was supposed to be their happiest day. the day their pup was supposed to finally be able to snuggle into their parents arms.

a small smile formed onto jungkook's lips, as he wiped the omega's tears away, taehyung looked up at him with big, glossy doe-eyes.
"you are so strong, angel."

"alpha, we need to bring the luna to the operation room."

taehyung's eyes darted up to jungkook, as his breathing started to get uneven.

jungkook quickly tightened his hold around taehyung's hand, as he kneed down next to the bed, to hug his anxious mate. "calm down, cupcake, everything is fine. in a few there will be a beautiful pup in your arms. just stay calm, trust yourself." jungkook whispered reassuringly, as the nurses started to take the brakes from the bed away.

"wh-where are you going? why aren't you coming with me?" taehyung asked, tears forming in his eyes. jungkook's heart shattered by the omega's desperate, broken voice. jungkook had already tried to convince the nurses and doctors to let him go with taehyung, but they said it's not good to have a strong presence like jungkook's near them, since the pup has the chance to be an omega.

"as soon as i can, i'll be with you, tae, angel, please promise me to stay strong, yeah? i love you so much taehyungie." the nurses started to roll the bed and taehyung looked at jungkook with sad eyes. "i-i love you too."

"see you." jungkook whispered. taehyung nodded lightly and took a deep breath as the last tears started to roll down his cheeks. "i-i'll be strong." he whispered, making jungkook smile lightly at him

"jungkook! oh my god, where is taehyung?!" the alpha looked up, finding his brother and friends rushing towards him. he hates to be like this, so vulnerable in front of his friends, but seeing all this familiar faces made him break down.

he started crying and quickly got pulled into a tight hug by seokjin, the other's joining quickly.

"what did the doctors say?" namjoon asked,

jungkook let a sob out as he let go of his friends, straightening his position. "t-there is a chance t-that our pup w-won't make it." he whispered, making all gasp.

"wh-what?" jimin clasped his hands in front of his mouth, breaking down in cries right after, getting hugged by yoongi who also fought with the tears.

"but with taehyung is everything fine, right?" hoseok asked hugging a almost crying yoonji.
