Who's Batman?

"Ha..Your joking right?" Wally asked with a grin But Robin's blank expression remained

"Uh...no?" 

Wally's smile quickly faded "Holy speed force dude,  He's your fath..mentor! Your Partner..You know tall scary guy who wears all black and talks in a deep voice..?"

"Okay.."

"Ohmygod, You forgot Batman," Wally said in awe

"I don't know if I "forgot" I mean..the name sounds familiar and everything..I just can't remember why? If that makes sense?"

Wally continued to look at him in horror "No. It does not make sense!"

"Well, Maybe You'll remember once when you see him again," M'gann said

"Yeah..maybe" Robin slipped past the stunned Wally to stand next to the screen, it took a few tries to connect, or maybe this Batman just wouldn't answer.  But after a fourth attempt, his face finally appeared on the screen

"I said no contact."

Wally flinched slightly beside him as Robin stared up at the masked face.  he had seen it before...

"Yes, but the mission had unexpected consequences, we need you to be aware of for the entire league's safety." Kaldur replyed

"Alright, But  make it quick, the League probably already knows your radio signal location by now."

Kaldur Quickly explained the attack, extra guards and memory laser, Batman keep his poker face throughout, nodding occasionally before Kalder turned towards Robin

"And in the aftermath, Robin was hit with either the blast from a grenade, the laser itself, or perhaps both..causing him to.."

"He doesn't remember a thing!" Wally interrupted loudly "He was coma toast for three days, then he wakes up punches me in the jaw, and asks who you are! He forgot everything! even his name! "

Batman quickly turned to Robin "You don't remember anything?"

Robin scratched the back of his neck "Uh..no not really..sorry." He wasn't sure why he suddenly felt so guilty, almost like he was disappointing this batman. He quickly looked down at the floor

He felt Batmans gaze  on him a moment longer before turning back to Kaldur

"He was seriously injured and you decided to wait three days before informing me?"

"You said no contact, and we were not sure of his symptoms until he awoke last hour. We were going to wait until we finished searching the base but then he.." Kaldur looked to the floor "I apologize if we waited too long, but we wanted to inform you now incase the league of evil did take his memories, including the locations and identities of most of the  Justice league."

"It was the right choice to contact me." Batman said before looking back to Robin "You don't remember any names or locations of any kind?'

"No..just..your name was familur..I can't place why but…"

"Everything  else you forgot,  The base, your team. .meaning it's most likely now information  in the hands of the villains, I'm assuming that's how the machine works,  you said it erased and then stole the memories correct?"

"Yes, but it was only supposed to erase, he made the last part behind the league's back, so they might not have it..at least  yet," M'gann added

"Send me everything you've found from that base, I'll get the league to investigate immediately, and for now..I'm calling you off this mission. Come back to base."

"But we haven't even gone back to the headquarters today," Artemis said

"This is to high risk, It's a  league level now, We'll take over the investigation."

the rest of the team seemed disheveled by this.

"Get back to base, I'll have red tornado on standby in case the villains know it's whereabouts by now, I want Robin checked into the med room as soon as you land and for him to  stay there until I come to take him. Three days is a long time to go with an untreated head injury ."

The team all looked to the floor or far wall now, avoiding his gaze, While Robin stared back up at him, he was so familiar. . .
surely it would come back to him any second now...

Kaldur was the first to break the silence "Of course, we should be back by nightfall."

Batman nodded before signing off,
Robin swore he saw a glint of concern cross his face as he looked over at him before the screen turned to black. 

Wally said they were Partners right?.
But why would someone like Batman need Robin's help? and as a partner? He wasn't entirely sure of his skills, but he was farely certain they were no match for anything that this Batman could do..

"Prepare the ship for return. " Kaldur said

"Right.." M'gann took the main chair and began typing in codes

"So on a scale of one to ten..how long do you think our lecture will be when we get back?" Wally asked no one in particular

"Probably four hours, at least," Artemis answered

"Not our fault he said no contact," Conner mumbled

The trip back to the base was silent as everyone seemed to be lost in their thoughts, except for Wally who fell asleep instantly, before they even turned the ship around.

according to M'gann Wally had stayed up the past three days to watch over him, only sleeping two-hour shifts while the others were awake, just to make sure Robins vitals didn't change or worsen.
making him feel bad for punching him earlier...

There Base was located inside a giant volcano that Kaldur assured him was no longer active.
and As soon as Robin stepped off the landing deck a red robot appeared in front of him

"Robin. I am to escort you to the med room until Batman arrives."

Robin glanced over his shoulder to Wally who nodded

"Okay." Robin glanced back over at the others before following him threw the bases halls.
They arrived at a door where Red unlocked a door.

Wait..did he just memorize that?

the door opened and Red tornado stepped aside before motioning him inside
"Please stay inside. if you need anything press the emergency button next to the bed."

"Uh okay."

"I'm to meet with the league, but can return in moments if needed." The door quickly closed and clicked behind him.

leaving Robin alone in the dim room. where there was nothing to do but wait..

But waiting grew boring.

After searching threw the computer on his wrist, and hacking into the med bays computer systems to look at the security footage.
He saw the rest of the team all leave through portals at the front of the Mountain. 

Meaning he was alone in the base.

the same base that they admitted an enemy (whoever that might be) possibly knew the whereabouts of.

and they had locked him in a boring medical room for over an hour.

He wasn't sure who was in charge of the planning, but Clearly, they didn't think this threw, if someone did attack the base, he was a sitting duck.
No Help button could help him escape another bomb.

Luckily he had caught that code…

And those Portals didn't look hard to use...
