Chapter 5

"I would like to be friends one day" where the words over the intercom announcing Chase's unexpected departure. It was clear that Hawks was done sharing and as much as Aizawa wanted to use his power so that feather on a string would slam and be raped by the dirt, yet then Chase would also slam to grown with said feather, and even though Aizawa knew he could catch him the drama that would fester with the hotheaded birdbrain is whole other epidemic. So he watched as Hawk's read feather tossed chase around like he was nothing more then 1.99 lettuce. His words stayed caged in his throat to rot after insecurity or laziness of telling the healing man that he would like to be friends one day too.

Chase was screaming. His stomach had left his body, and he felt hollow inside only feeling his heart trying to leave like the rest of his guts and limbs as he flayed in the air like a loose "we are closing" department store sign. Luckily for his sanity it was long until a certain red winged bird caught him, letting Chases body resurrection itself.

"Hey kid, since when did you learn how to fly?" The joke would've been amusing if Hawks's feather didn't just catapult him in the sky, same reason for why Chase wasn't scowling at the birded devil for his antics. Because frankly the man had broken him and his body was in momentary palalyzation from the sudden self flying. So he just looked at the flying man that held him with frozen eyes that dilated by the signs brightness and a wide mouth that would not shut, "Listen babybird I know Im the hottest guy you've ever seen but didnt your parents tell you staring is mean".

There was no response. That's when Hawks flew the two of them down in the middle of the forest laying Chase down so that he could take a minute and rekindle with grass. As Chase laid in the forest he felt every grain of dirt there was and the grass had tickle effect to his skin. He was in the sky for barely two minutes and yet his body craved the ground every second it touched clouds. "H-how do-do you do th-that every-yday?" his words came out choppy as his dry voice spoke them.

"I just do, on a serious not are you ok Kid?" Hawks was brushing the little static baby hairs out of Chases face while chase gave him wide eyes and small smile at his small gesture of touch.

"Yeah Im ok, just very startled" which got a small awe sound out of Hawks as he cupped the tea cheeks of the healing one the two and lightly rubbed his thumb in a soothing manner. His hands where working on their own mission as he did this because his brain wasn't giving them any thought. It was instinct almost when seeing the frightened little recovery boy/

"Im sorry kid, how about I take you out to dinner as an apology?" As much as every part of the romantic part of his body screamed yes, physically he was worn. From all the filing, then the trip, and the sterilization of the random flying, he couldn't take anymore. He gave Hawks a sad glance which gave Hawks his answer. "Oh Im sorry for asking, I might of over thought what was happening here".

"No-No its not that, Im just tired love" Hawks never got nicknames and the one syllable word that came from the almost passed out boy that laid in the kissing skin grass petrified Hawks. So he just laid there hovering over the dead looking nurse calculating what this meant and if that was what he wanted. Hawks called everyone something and no one did it back, and he liked it that way. There was no worry that way. Feelings cause worry. "How bout tomorrow red angel" another fucking nickname. Hawks was the one who had to lay down now, but he kept his composure around Chase.

"Sure Chase, first lets get you out of here so you can get some rest. I think everything has worn you out" Hawks picked up the half asleep new nickname giver with utter fear as he watched him cuddle up to his touch. His heart hurt and his stomach wanted to scream liquids out his mouth but he held it all in because he had to help Chase to get home safely. He was his red angel.
