~ADIRA'S POV
I stared long at my reflection in the mirror. I saw myself, the actual one that I didn't know this beautiful. I just realized that I also have a beauty to be proud of. Naman Adira, maganda ka naman pala.
I learned how to wear skirt and boots, halter shirt showing my bare shoulders. I didn't bother tying my long hair. I looked decent as a woman.
Damn.
The moment I stepped out of my door, was the moment Natte stepped out from his room, too.
He was fixing his long brown hair by his fingers when he halted and glued his eyes on me. I saw him gulped, his jaw slowly dropped. His eyes traveled all over me for minutes as his lips curved up.
And that's what I hate the most.
"Maniac," tamad kong utas at nilampasan siya. Hindi ko nakaligtaang umirap.
Pero hinawakan niya ako sa braso kaya kunot nuo ko siyang nilingon, masama agad ang tingin.
"Let go."
"Y-You looked...damn attractive with that," seryuso niyang sabi at hinarap ako.
That was an insult. With forehead creased, I took my hand back and gave him a deadly glare.
What the hell is wrong with this man? What the hell's up with him? Why. Can't I wear clothes like these? Am I not allowed? And since when did he care about my clothing style?
"And, don't I have a right?"
He slowly shook his head. His eyes carefully scanned me, then he sighed. His forehead then creased, as if he's frustrated of something. What the, really? What's wrong with this fucktard?
"Hindi lang ako sanay na makita kang ganiyan kaayos." He wetted his lips. "I mean, is that you? I thought you only like pants and branded t-shirts."
His grimace became a smile. His eyes held...what? Is it annoyance?
"You're gonna get more attention. How I hate it..."
"What the hell is wrong with you?!"
I can't understand this guy. It's like he doesn't want me to shine, huh.
"I'm just worried. Baka mapag-tripan ka mamaya eh."
"Pakialam mo naman? 'Wag mo nga akong pakialaman, buhay ko 'to. I can handle myself, there's nothing you should fear for, moron."
I emphasized every word. He knew what I can do. He let out a heavy sigh and licked his lip.
"I know but still. I'm not used seeing you—"
"That's not my problem, Nattan. Be used to it then. You know what? You're becoming more irritating each day," I remarked coldly.
We stared into each other for minutes. Then...He sighed again and shrugged. He passed through me, saying nothing. My eyes rolled irritably. What a jerk.
I lazily went down to eat but when I reached the dining, Cassiel almost spit her juice out when she saw me. There they are. Eating breakfast together. Like seriously? What's wrong in fixing myself?
But Cassiel is Cassiel. She will always voice out her damn nonsense opinion. Can she just shut up?
"What have you eaten last night?"
I shot her a cold stare, minding nothing.
"May balak ka bang magbago ng lifestyle? Funny, do you think changing your daily outfit will be much better? Do you think that you'll have friends now, or you'll be appreciated? Or you'll be famous like me?"
