~ADIRA'S POV

"Me and my comrades were assigned to complete this mission," I started. "The very root of this mess isn't solve yet, we have the listing of the names but it shouldn't be disclosed randomly. We need heavy proofs, strong evidences and witnesses to completely bring down the roots into the depths of hell."

Maigi siyang nakikinig at piniling 'wag munang sumagot. Inisip kong mabuti ang sasabihin.

"General Escarial and his team gathered relevant informations about the real purpose of the former Hidden University. Facts and some shocking reality that we never expected."

"Facts and reality, like?"

"Like the head mistress, Olivia Avelarde knew a way out and they successfully hid it from us for five years."

In the previous three seconds, he seemed to have stopped breathing and in the next three seconds, he gasped loudly as he tried to control his mouth from cursing.

"T-They what?"

And just like how we reacted, he's also speechless. His eyes are spurting disbelief but then, there's a flick of doubt. Voice low and shuttered, he spoke,

"Is that legit?"

"They will not joke about it, so you decide if it's legit," I answered. "Thou the answer is really obvious."

"B-But...that's just so impossible!" He shook his head and he can't decide how to react formally. "We explored the forest."

"But we didn't explored the forest the way the Devillion League does," I fired. "Come to think of it, we, Elites chose to have our hiding spot in an abandoned building, in beautiful parks and hidden mansion. The Spider chose to have their hide out on the hill meters away from the school premises, technically, they terrorized 1/16 of the the wide forest or so. And the Rival Monarchy chose some private spots. While the Devillion League chose to own the forest. Have you ever wondered why did they chose the forest instead of the private rooms in the dorm? Or some certain areas inside the school premises?"

The answer is simple, it's because in the forest, they can protect and hide their exit. Nobody would know, no one would suspect them about knowing a way out.

"Because they're hiding something crucial," he muttered under his breathe as realization downed on him. "But that's just impossible! Nasaan ba yung daan na 'yan at hindi natin nahanap noon? Paano nila yun nahanap kung ang sasakyang panghimpapawid nga ay hindi tayo makita? Ginala ba nila lahat ng sulok ng forest?"

"Must be," I answered with a shrugged.

"Now, back to the main topic. You made a grave mistake, Deltora." I saw him stilled. "You need protection but most importantly, you need to be useful. Hindi naman siguro nila alam na galing kang Hidden University, 'di ba?"

"Hindi, nakakalungkot man pero pinabago ni Naythan ang papeles ko. Hindi na ako sa Hidden University grumaduate, sa ibang exclusive school na."

What a great idea. Faking a diploma is a big thing, especially if his former school is really controversial. Naythan must had a wide connection.

"Good for you then, well, Hidden University was a secret. So might as well seal the whole truth and history by silence."

He nodded. "So, what about your mission? Bibigyan mo rin ba ako ng mission?"

"You need not only protection but a lifetime safety, for you and your family. Your problem would not be solved as long as you're connected with them."

"Paano ko puputulin ang koneksyon ko sa kanila kung kasama ako sa iilang transaksyon?" He asked problematically. "I know enough to die, if they'll feel that I'm hesitating, they will surely kill me."
