Nico's pov
I jumped up ready to fight... Jason, not so much. He was still on the ground recovering. I looked down at Jason praying that he would suddenly get up, and that's when the first dracne attacked. I swung my sword and turned the dracne to dust. Two more dracne launched them selves at me. One slashed its claws across my arm and the cut caused a stinging pain. I impaled one and slashed through the other, trying to stay alert. I tried to make my way to Percy so I could protect him as well but there was only so much I could do. I slashed through more dracne but the cut on my arm was slowing my attacks. I finally cut through the last dracne, or so I thought. As I took my final step towards percy the last monster sunk it's nails into my back. I let out a scream of pain and defiance before falling to what I thought would be the end.

Percy's pov:
I don't know how or why I woke up, but when I did, the sight wasn't good. Nico was screaming and and a dracne snake women standing behind him. I tried to wake up but my legs wouldn't move. A small moan of pain escaped my lips as I attempted to get up. I hauled my body up, I felt as if it was made of lead. I got up groggily and uncapped riptide. My mind strayed away from reality, I thought of the ocean and the smell of the salty air. Instantly I felt refreshed. I jumped up and sprinted towards the dracne that stabbed Nico in the back. I slashed, and whirled and hacked through the monster until it was reduced to a pile of golden dust. I ran over to Nico who looked beat.
"Here," I said pulling out some ambrosia. "Have some of this."
He slowly sat up and brought the godly food to his mouth. I turned around to see Jason making his way towards us.
"Looks like I'm finally not the one who gets knocked out!"
I shot him a glare
"Quiet Grace!" I demanded.
"Ladies, ladies," Nico murmured. Stop fighting."
Jason and I shared a glance, dumbfound by Nico's sass and the fact that he could talk. Nico slowly sat up so we could survey the wound on his back. I slowly ran my hand over it to feel how deep it was. The cut was almost healed by the time he put his shirt back down. Thank the gods for ambrosia I thought, we wouldn't live half as long without it.

Nico, Jason and I eventually decided to walk to the airport. We figured, why not. I mean it can't be any worse then the bus. We walked through the airport probably looking stupid because we just fought like 20 dracne and our hair wasn't what people would call "on pointe." Finally we made it to customs. it was all fine and good, until they took Nico's sword.
