Chapter: 3 The Quest

I trudged through the grass towards Rachel Dares cave.
"She must be asleep by now." he muttered.
Nico rarely talked to Rachel, 50% because he barley ever saw her and 50% because he wasn't good with people. He approached Rachel's cave and knocked in the stone wall. Why he did that he had no idea because what kind if weirdo knocks on stone. Soon after Rachel popped her fuzzy red head out of the opening of the cave.
"Who is it?"
She asked groggily
"Um... It's Nico."
I say feeling badly for waking her up
"Sorry I woke you up, but Chiron ordered me to come see you for a prophecy. Do you mind?"
"Oh no! Not at all." She answered "That is my job after all."
I stepped into her cave and took a seat. Because we barley talked I could feel the awkwardness in the air.
"Soooo... are you feeling anything?"
"What?!" She exclaimed turning a dark shade of crimson.
"Oh my gods!" I cried. "I didn't mean it that way!" I explained, feeling my face already starting to heat up. All of the sudden Rachel perked up. Green smoke started to curl out of her mouth.

"The children of the mighty three,
must go west to the island of lei.
To save the child of the sun, and put and end to the evil one."

Rachel slumped against the wall and her eyes flutters open.
"Woah..." I muttered "What was that..?"
"There you have it son of Hades. Share you prophecy with the others, I wish you luck."
My muscles slowly uncoiled as I got up and crawled out of the cave. I hate to admit it but I was pretty rattled, I mean who wouldn't be...

I woke up the next morning at 5 am got ready and walked over to cabin 3. I knocked on the door not expecting Percy to be up... but of course, he was.
"Island if the lei..." Percy repeated trying to "crack the code" persay.
"What's a lei?" he asked
"A lei is a necklace made if flowers that you usually get in Hawaii... wait! That's it Hawaii! That's the island if the lei!"
"Nico you are a genius!"
"Uhh... Percy? It doesn't exactly take a genius to figure our what a lei is..."
"Whatever! You figured it out so that makes you a genius."
After a couple more minutes of talking we made our way to Jason's cabin, filled him in and then left for our quest. Just as we got to the bottom of half-blood hill percy stopped us.
"Wait, how are we traveling..?"
"Bus?" I asked
Percy burst out laughing.
"I remember the first bus I took on a quest. Poor bus driver didn't even know what happened, and even worse his bus went up in green flames."
"Was this before I came too camp?" I questioned.
"Yes" he replied "In fact it happened on my very first quest."
Jason shot me a confused glanced and I returned one of my own.
"So" Percy said grinning "Bus it is..."

Will's pov

It's dark where I am... Which I'm not used to... The Apollo cabin is always so bright. I wished I was at home. At least then I would have someone to comfort me. Except the only person I wanted to comfort me wouldn't, and the only person I wanted to come I knew would never show...
