chapter 039 — narrative !

She closed the door behind her and
sat down facing Vinnie who was
very worried about what she was
going to say , he couldn't stop overthinking.

She cleared her throat and tried to
take deep breaths

" we- um" she stuttered as she
played with her fingers .

Vinnie held onto her hand to
try and calm her down .

" we need to break up,"
she said looking down,
unable to make eye contact
with the guy .

Vinnie felt the colour from
his face drain , he felt his heart break.

His finger tips turned cold ,
" w-why?" he asked her

she spoke softly ,
" i cant do this anymore,
i'm sorry Vinnie . I just lost
feelings" she lied to him

He slowly lets go of her hands,
he runs his fingers through his
hair , " no no no" he repeated

Blossom kept quiet as the boy
stood up , " this has to be a joke ,
please tell me you're joking rightnow."

she shook her head , " its not
a joke okay ! im sorry vinnie."

He knew something was wrong,
there was no way she just lost feelings
for him just like that .

" you're lying ! I know you're
lying . Blossom please , just tell
me the truth." He begged but she
kept quiet.

" I cant love you when
theres someone else not over you.
I cant love you while she's hurting ,
im sorry vinnie . But , she needs you
and you clearly need her too."

Vinnie looked at the girl like she was
crazy , he cups her face

" i need you , blossom ."

She pushed his hands away
and got up.

" There are thousands of girls
chasing me and how come that
doesnt affect you ?" He asked
before she could open the door ,
her hands slipped off the door knob—
she looked at the boy and smiled

" because they never had a thing with
you . Because they aren't trying to
move on from you after a relationship.
thats just different."

He walked towards her and gently grabs her
shoulder, " emily and I are in the past ,
i'm not letting you break up with me
just because of some girl thats not over me."

She looked down , still avoiding eye
contact with him .

" vin-"

" I love you" he cuts her
off .

Her eyes widened, they never
actually said ' i love you' so
it was a shock fo her .

She didn't want to say her
i love yous because she was scared
to tell someone she loved them without
meaning it , she was scared .
But she knew she loved vinnie , she was
just scared he might leave her .

She wrapped her arms around him ,
" im sorry,"

he drew circles on her back ,
" its okay baby"
