Disclaimer: I do not own anything. I'm flat broke from buying ice cream with my friends over the summer. Whoops?

3rd PoV

Peter knew he was smart. He got straight A's, and his test scores were always higher than normal. He never flaunted it around, of course. That would be rude. Aunt May had raised him better than that.

When his science teacher, Mr. Harrison, announced the Stark Industries intern competition, of course he applied. How could he not? His best friend Ned was signing up too. Both of them were excited. This was the chance of a lifetime! But, they never would have expected to ACTUALLY GET IN!!!!! There were so many people who deserved it more than him, after all.

It started a few weeks after they applied. He was walking home, humming along to the song playing. Dodging puddles and people, he made his way to May's apartment with no problems. He was a bit surprised, though, to see the fancy car sitting outside his house. Rich people usually stayed away from areas like this. Unlocking the door, he walked in, calling "May! I'm home!"

He was very, very surprised to find one of the most influential people in the world on his couch. Nibbling on one of his aunt's burnt date loaves.

Peter's PoV

"So, this is peter."

I blinked. And blinked again. Then I turned bright red. "Y-yes sir! I'm Peter Parker!"

His idol just laughed. "Nice to meet you, peter. Congrats. You just won the internship."

My jaw dropped open. "Me?! But aren't there people who deserve this more than me? I can't be the best there is! What about Ned? Or even Flash? Or-"

I was cut off by my aunt May. "Peter, why was I not informed of this? I think I should know when my nephew signs up for things as important as an internship."

I looked at the ground meekly. "Sorry May. I forgot.... Surprise?"

May just sighed. "Oh well. This is great, Peter!

Tony coughed. Both of Parker's heads snapped to him. I managed to stutter out "s-s-sorry! I forgot you were there:.

The man flashed a blinding smile. "It's alright. May I please have a moment alone with you to discuss something?"

I was confused. Couldn't they talk about it in front of his aunt? But this was a chance to talk to his idol, alone. Of course, they would likely get to talk alone in the future, with the internship. I looked up and chirped "alright!"

They walked into his bedroom. I nervously watched the older man look around. What if he was disgusted by the fact that most of my computers came from dumpsters? I was snapped out of his thoughts by a hand waving in front of my face

"You alright kid?"

"I-I am! I'm fine!"

"Alright. So. you will be my personal intern. And since you seem smart, I won't make you get coffee. Hear that? You get to work on tech. Sounds good?"

I was shocked. That was a lot different than what I was expecting. I realized that the man in front of me was still waiting for an answer. I managed to choke out a "yes sir!" before turning red again.

Mr. Stark just smiled and clapped his hands together. "Great! After school on Tuesday, work for you? Yes, let's do Tuesday. See you there."

With that, he turned and left.

Sorry about the crappy chapter! This is my first time writing something like this, and I need a bit more practice writing dialogue, but the next chapters are much longer and better!

See ya!
