My mom and I are going to eat at the Olive Garden. It's really hard to hide my excitement. When Dylan said he couldn't hang out, I was expecting to stay home, doing nothing for the rest of the night. We arrive at the restaurant and are seated. I flip through the menu until I find something that sounds good. My mom and I order our food and talk while we wait for it to come. I forgot how much I like spending time with her. Our food arrives. We eat and talk. I tell her all about Dylan. We finish our food and get up to leave. As we're walking out, I hear a familiar voice. I look over and see Dylan. I start to smile at him, until I see who he's with. Instead of his family, it's a girl. I can't believe this. He's going on a date? He lied to me? I'm filled with anger. I walk faster, determined to get out of there.
