I get almost no sleep that night. I toss and turn, worrying about Briella. How am I going to explain this to her? She's still not responding to my texts. I won't see her at school 'cause we go to different schools. I can't focus on any of my classes at all that day. My friends keep asking me what's wrong. I don't tell them.

When I get home, I tell my mom the whole story, hoping she has some advice for me. Luckily she does. She tells me some places I might find Briella. I start with her house. I knock on the door.
Briella's mom: "Sorry Dylan, Briella isn't home."
Me: "Do you know where I could find her?"
Briella's mom: "She went to the bookstore."
Me: "Thank you so much!" I call, already getting into my car.
