Chapter 11

"A Ball!?" I watched as George started worrying about how he was meant to spike the punch if he had to dance. I was laughing my ass off at this. Suddenly McGonagall came walking into the empty classroom. As she started talking my mind began to wonder and only came back when I saw Rom dancing with our professor. I nearly burst out laughing and only didn't when I received a death stare from Ron. Soon we were all invited to stand up and dance. I sat down, not wanting to dance, "Up we get boys, you too Miss Brown." She told us all, I groaned. as I stood up I saw Fred standing in front of me, "May I have this dance M'lady?" I smiled, "Why of course sir." We started to dance and laughed at Ron as he struggled to not step on people's toes. We were asked to switch partners, so I went with George. "So are you and Fred a thing yet?" I looked at him with a confused look, "No why?" He gave me an annoyed look, "Well you guys need to become one because I have a bet with ginny that I can't lose," I let out a small giggle as we danced. After we were finally let out I ran to go find Ginny. I hadn't talked to her for a while and I needed to fill her in.

"Ginny!" I finally found her in the common room doing homework. "Oh hey Emily! Wha-" I dragged her up the stairs and into our dorm. 'I have so much to tell you," I told her everything that had been happening. Once I finished her jaw was on the floor. "So, are you together?" she asked, "No I don't think so." Ginny rolled her eyes, "Well either way we're going dress shopping this weekend at Hogsmeade." My face dropped, "Nooooo, I don't even have a date yet," Ginny rolled her eyes again. "Sure as if Fred isn't gonna ask you." I shook my head and went into the great hall for study period with snape.

I walked into study period and took my seat across from Fred and George. I could hear the twins and Ron arguing about getting dates for the yule ball, "Do you even have a date yet?" After Ron said that I felt a paper ball hit my head. I looked up at Fred as he actioned and mouthed 'Do you want to go to the ball with me' I nodded my head and went back to my work. Not even a minute after I heard Ron and Hermione arguing, "Well the next time there's a ball pluck up the courage and ask me before somebody else does." And with that, she packed her things and left. I gave George and Fred a look which said, 'I'll check on her, you talk to Ron'. They nodded and I walked out of the hall and after Hermione. I found her crying on the steps to the Astronomy Tower. "Hey Hermione." I said as I sat down next to her, "Rons an idiot." She said through tears. I hugged her as she told me everything, from Krum asking her to Ron being a brat. I felt sorry for the girl, "Hey i have an amazing idea, me and Ginny are going dress shopping this weekend, wanna come?" She looked up to me and smiled, "I'd love to!" She hugged me and walked off. I found the red-headed twins talking to Ron, well not really talking, more yelling. I struggled to not laugh at Ron as he cowered in fear. Soon he walked off and I laughed with the twins and started interrogating George on who he asked, "Fine! I asked Madison Blaine, she's a Hufflepuff in our year." I smiled at him, "Awwwww Georgie has a crush!" Me and Fred teased him but immediately stopped when he brought up me and Fred going together.

"Come one Hermione, Ginny, we have dresses to look at!" They both reluctantly got ready and we excitedly walked into the dress shop. Hermione went in first, she ended up getting this beautiful light blue dress with ruffles at the bottom, "Its beautiful Hermione!" Ginny went next, she ended up buying this pretty pink dress that matched her hair beautifully. Finally, I went in. I chose this beautiful purple dress that had a starry lace over the top of it (top of the page) which matched the necklace Fred got me perfectly. "Emily, it's perfect!" We all decided that the dress was perfect. After getting our dresses we went to the shoe store. Hermione got a pair of pastel blue heels, Ginny got some nude pumps and I got some silver strapped wedges. After we got all of our dresses we went back to Hogwarts talking the whole time of how excited we were.
