Chapter 10

Stephanie's POV

I didn't know what to say

Or how I should react

Luis was my ex boyfriend

We broke up because I caught him cheating on me

Do I still have feelings for him?

I'm not so sure myself

"Oh.. wow"

"I'm so happy for you babe. You guys are perfect for each other"

I changed the topic

Royce was already looking at me suspiciously

"Uhm..so, you're coming tomorrow?"

She was so excited

"Yeah. You going to get us at the airport?"

Royce smiled at me

Damn gorgeous

"Um, I'll check my schedule if I'm free tomorrow. I'll let you know.."

"Awh babe, you've got the job? Congrats! We'll just take the cab then. I have a present for you"

I bit my lip

Royce looked at me, confused

"Oh really? That's great!"

Royce took my left hand kissed it

I smiled at him, nervously

"Okay babe. I'll talk to you later. Gotta pack. I'm super excited for tomorrow. Bye, babe. Love you!"

She ended the call.

Royce was looking at me

"Anything you want to tell me?"

He rubbed my face with the back of his hand

"My friends"

His eyebrows rose

"They're moving to Seattle. They'll be staying at my aparment"

"Oh"

He smiled with his teeth flashing

"That's great. How many?"

I gave him a peace sign

"Can I meet them?"

I shrugged

You can't

"Yeah, sure. I mean, why not?"

I smiled at him.

We finally arrived at the Pizza Hut

Royce's POV

Something was bothering her

She looked so nervous

She even told her friend on the phone about her schedule for tomorrow

She didn't get the job

I wasn't going to push it. She was going to tell me about it anyway

She sat in front of me in the restaurant

We ate pizza together

She was starving

She wouldn't stop stuffing her face with the pizza

I ate a slice

And she ate eight slices

With her stuffed face, she still looked so damn beautiful

I caught her daydreaming a few times

There were definitely something bothering her

"What are you thinking?"

She was staring deep at the door

I snapped my finger

"Steph?"

She looked at me, startled

"What's wrong?"

I held her chin

She shook her head

"Nothing"

She smiled, took hold of my hand and gave a quick kiss

"I don't feeling really well"

"Are you sick?"

I put the back of my hand to her forehead

"Do you want to go to the clinic?"

She shook her head

"It's okay. I'm fine. I just need a rest"

I nodded

I was dying to know what was wrong

She wouldn't say

Stephanie's POV

I couldn't stop thinking about it

Megan coming to Seattle wasn't a problem

But Luis?

Huge problem

I wanted to tell Royce about it

But I didn't want to lose him

I never wanted to lose him

Royce's POV

I sent her back to her apartment

She wouldn't let me in

She gave me a peck

And that was it..

I drove to the bar and drank a bottle of Whiskey

I fell asleep at the bar, a waiter woke me up

I apologized and drove home

I couldn't stop thinking about her.

When I arrived, I glanced at my Rolex watch

12:00 AM

I waited in my car and gave her a call

"Hello?"

Her voice was so sexy

"Aren't you tired running on my mind?"

I could hear her smiling

"I miss you already"

"I miss you too, Royce"

"Good night, Stephanie"

"Good night"

She was quiet

"Babe"

"H..hmm?"

"I love you"

She didn't respond

"Babe?"

"Yes?"

"I said, I love you"

She sounded so cute

"I love you too"

I was the happiest man alive

"I have to sleep, it's late. Talk to you tomorrow"

"Okay, bye"

She hung up

I put my phone on my heart

Oh god I love her so much

I got out of the car and looked at my house

Somebody was sitting at the head of my front door

I walked forward to see clearer

Samantha

She stood up, hugging herself

"Hi, Royce"
