Royce's POV

I was on my way to get Stephanie

I was so excited to see her

I missed her so much.

But when I was just a couple of blocks near her apartment

There was a traffic congestion

Seriously? At times like this?

I glanced at my Rolex

07:21 PM

Ugh

I was already late

I texted her

"There's this roadblock just a few blocks away. I'll be there a little late"

It was so frustating

She didn't reply

She's probably out of credit card

I immediately recharged her phone number

She still hasn't replied yet

Is she mad at me?

I exhaled deeply

There was policemen everywhere

There was definitely an accident

When I bypassed the police officers,

I looked at the huge truck

It looked perfectly fine

No sign of hit

But there was blood

Everywhere

Oh god bless that person

When I looked at the blood

I saw something familiar

My heartbeat gone from normal to its maximum speed

Rapidly,

I pulled out by the side of the road and got out

I approached the bloody road

Tears rolled down my cheeks

No..

I recognized that handbag that was all covered in blood

That cell phone too..

I tried my best to swallow the huge lump on my throat

I was extremely terrified

I dialled Stephanie's number

Then I placed my phone to my right ear

The familiar ringtone could be heard from the bloody road

Then I realized,

It was Stephanie's phone

And that blood at the front of the truck and on that ground I was looking at

Was hers..
