I stayed silent while few thoughts running inside my head.
"Hey! You didn't like it?" Olivia asked me with an innocent look.
"I am speechless. It is really good Olivia, I loved it." I said and she hugged me.
I can't get rid of these thoughts...
Am I hurting her?
But there is nothing in between me and Peter right now. Was she upset because Peter being with us on that day we went to watch the basketball game? Is it because of me? Was she pretending with a smile while I'm hurting her? Or I'm just overthinking?
I kept memorizing all the incidents and felt bad. I don't want to hurt anybody knowingly or unknowingly.
I need to ask her first but I don't want her to think bad about me in case it's just my imagination. So I remained quiet.
I went home, Olivia's song kept playing in my mind. It's too good that it got stuck in my mind and too bad for me as the lyrics are so relatable.
"You fell for her knowing she's all-new but why the old me is invisible to you...
It hurts to see you with her.."Those lyrics...
I believe Olivia has something to say but she keeps hiding it. I wonder what she is going through? I wonder why she writes those sad songs? I wonder about whom she's actually writing those songs? I want to know the truth.
I decided to ask Dina at least she knows what's going on.
*****
Dina and I are visiting Olivia's place again today. I took this opportunity to ask Dina about Olivia.
"Why Olivia writes only sad songs?" I asked her and she's focused on driving.
"It isn't like that, she wrote so many songs." She mumbled.
"But her last few songs are likely to be sad songs," I stated.
"Umm.. she likes writing songs with deep feelings." She said.
"Are those songs about Peter?" I finally asked her.
"Peter!?" She widened her eyes in shock.
"Why did you feel so Anna?" She asked with a confused smile.
"I just felt so.. they are neighbours and there's a chance." I tried to make my point.
"But she knows that he's interested in you." She said.
"Yeah that's the point, did you hear her lyrics.. she wrote about something saying new girl, I felt like it's all about me," I told Dina eagerly waiting for Dina's reaction.
She stayed quiet, processing what I just said.
"I'm sure it's not about Peter." She slowly said.
"If it's really about him, I don't want to be in a place where I hurt her. I'll move away from him." I said, Dina.
"We will ask her. But her songs are mostly from imagination." She said and smiled.
"Okay." I smiled.
We decided to ask her these questions after her competition, we don't want to disturb her mood or spoil her vibes.
We stayed at her place till the evening, she slightly improvised her song.
Then my phone blared with my ringtone. It's Peter and I ignored his call. I intentionally told my friends that Peter is calling me to see Olivia's reaction. She absolutely didn't care at all.
