Not Again ( 1 of 2 )

I can say that Rod and I were almost getting there. Why not? We've known each other for about 2 months now, we constantly go out on a date, we hold our hands, he hugs and kisses me, and tells me that he likes me alot. I know it's too early to say but I guess Im now moving on, na kay Rod na full attention ko and Im happy with what we have right now.

"Amber kamusta naman kayong dalawa ni Rod? Kayo na ba?" tanong ni Jessie

"Nope, pero parang oo? Hindi ko alam e, pero may date kami bukas and feeling ko magiging official na kami!"

"Well then kelangan natin magmall now na, bili tayong dress for that special night, di ba Jess?"

May isang oras na kaming paikot ikot sa mall pero until now wala pa rin kaming nabibili, sobrang selan kasi nilang dalawa sa pag pili. Kung hindi daw maiksi, mahaba naman, too revealing or too conservative naman, labo ng gusto nila but I just leave it to them.

"Oh my golliwow! Amber look, yun ang perfect dress for you! Lets check it out dali!"

Eto na naman si Dana, umaariba na ulit. Pag pasok namin sa store si Dana dumeretso sa sales lady at agad na pinakuha yung dress, at si Jessie naman stunned.

"Huy Jess ananyare sayo? Ok ka lang? Para kang nakakita ng multo ah?"

"Ambs look at that guy, hindi ba si Rod yun? Sino yung kasama nya?"

Sinundan ko ng tingin kung san nakatitig si Jessie, "Oo si Rod yun! Wala naman syang kasama ah? Teka papakilala ko kayo."

"Hi Rod!" excited kong bati habang papalapit sa kanya, "andito ka din pala what a co-incidence! Naghahanap kasi kami ng isusuot ko buk..."

"Anong ginagawa mo dito?!" he cut me off, at mukang di nya ako gustong makita.

"Ha? Whats wrong? Lumabas lang kami ng bestfriends ko to chill. Lika pakilala kita sa kanila."

Hahawakan ko na sana ang kamay nya nang may biglang lumabas sa fitting room at lumapit kay Rod, "honey tingnan mo nga kung bagay sakin tong dress na to."

Agad agad na lumapit si Rod sa fitting room, and I was left stupefied. I cant comprehend whats happening, did she just called Rod honey? Nakatitig ako sa kanilang dalawa and it seems like that girl is asking who I am, pero umalis na ko as if I dont see them. Nagaabang sakin sa labas ng boutique sila Dana at Jessie and Im sure they already knew what happened.

I started crying like a child, seems like history repeats itself. Its not that I liked him that much, but what makes me so much disappointed is because Ive let myself trust him and it feels like I dug my own grave. But no matter how unfortunate I am with boys, Im still blessed to have my besties with me.

Its eerily quiet sa loob ng kotse, until Jessie burst the bubble, "hayaan mo na yun! Hindi naman sya kagwapuhan. Ayaw mo yun nakatipid ka ng P1500? Ang mahal kaya ng dress na hawak ni Dana!"

The next day, I saw Rod sa gate ng school and seems like may inaantay sya? Ako kaya yun o feelingera lang ako?

"Amber! Kanina pa kita inaantay, magusap tayo please?" bungad nya sa akin.

"About?"

"Yesterday and us. Let me explain please?"

"As far as I know wala tayong dapat pagusapan di ba? Besides there's no us right?"

"Amber please?"

"No! and please let me pass, male-late na ko."

"8 pa lang oh? 9:30 pa start ng class mo. Lets talk please, I cant let this end just like that."

He held my hands so tight that I ended up giving in,"Ok, I'll give you 30 minutes to speak, but after that let me do the talking."
