Colby's phone kept ringing and ringing "Colbs" I groan he hums in response "Your phone" I mumble putting my head underneath the pillow he just hums again "Colby" I whisper yell "What happened" he says "Your phone" I uncover my head, he grabs his phone answering it "Hello... hey dad... are you crying... what happened... ok... I'm s-sorry w-what... oh my god... your j-joking r-right" tears came to his eyes I sat up looking at him confused "Alright... I love you too... Bye" he lowers his phone down slowly staring at the wall "Colbs what's wrong" I ask scooting closer to him, he didn't answer just a tear ran down his face "Colbs" I nudge him he looks at me with tearful and pained eyes, I pull him into a hug and he starts to sob "Shh it's ok" I whisper not knowing what was going on "What happened" I ask "M-my m-mom p-passed a-away" he chokes out, I felt my heart drop and tears come to my eyes, I loved Colby's mom very much, I didn't know what to say, so I just held him.
"Colbs" I whisper rubbing his back, he rolls over, his eyes red and no longer his bright blue eyes "Yes my love" he said dully "You need to eat something" I sit on the bed "I'm not hungry" he mumble rolling back over covering his head, I pull the blankets off of him "Come on, you have to try to eat, and you need to take your medicine" I say sternly, he sighs and nods his head ok, I go into the kitchen putting Mac n cheese on the stove and getting Colby's medicine ready, after a while he came out of the room, he sits down putting his hood up then stares off into the distance, I put the Mac n cheese in front of him as well as his medicine "Thank you" he mumbles moving slowly to grab the spoon, I watched as he forced his food down, I felt bad for making him eat, but he had to "I'm full" he pushes the food away from him crossing his arms over his stomach "Ok take your medicine" I say grabbing the bowl, he barely ate, but at least he ate
something.
"Colbs, talk to me" I grab his hand he looks up at me with tears in his eyes I sigh and go over to hug him, as soon as I pull him into a hug he starts sobbing "Shh it's ok" I hold him close "She's in a better place now ok" I wipe the tears off of his face "And she wouldn't want you like this" I kiss his wet nose he nods his head ok letting a few more tears drop then wiping them away "Alright, wanna get out for a while" I ask he just shrugs "Wanna go for a nice walk" I suggest "Sure" he mumbles getting up and walking to the room I sigh and follow him, "ready" I ask he nods his head Ya, grabbing my hand, we walk outside passing by a skate park "Sam" someone yelled I turn around to see Jake "Oh hey Jake" I give him a side hug, Colby looks at me confused "Oh um Colby this is Jake and Jake this is lovely boyfriend Colby" they shake hands, Colby gives him a fake smile "We should hang sometime" Jake says Colby pulls his hand away making me frown slightly "Yea just text me" I reply "Ok see you around" he skates away.
I look over at Colby to see him mad and slightly jealous "Why did you pull your hand away" I ask trying to grab his hand but he pulls it away "I'm cold" he puts his hands in his pockets I furrow my eyebrows a little hurt "Who was that anyway" he asks not looking at me "Just a friend I made a couple days ago" I reply stoping him from walking "Just a friend" he raises an eyebrow "He's just a friend" I giggle slightly, making him smile "I'm sorry" he looks down "It's ok" he holds out his hand for me to grab it so I do, we get back home, Colby flops down on the bed I do the same closing my eyes falling asleep.
I woke up to quiet sobs I open one eye to see Colby sitting on the edge of the bed his head down crying, I wanted to get up and hug him but I didn't, I stayed right where I was and closed my eyes trying to fall asleep, and eventually I did.
