Year 1:part 1

"HUFFLEPUFF!" the sorting hat called. As you sat down, you saw George waving at you. You faked a smile and waved back to him. When the ceremony ended, you started to go into your common room with everybody else in your house.

"Do you know them? The twins?" asked a person behind you, running up to you from behind. "Yeah, why?" you asked as she went right next to you as the girl took in a few breathes. "I have met their brothers, Charlie and Bill." she started to say "They said they had twin brothers, I'm Lily by the way, I'm in year 5 and a hufflepuff like you." Lily introduced herself as you stepped into the common room. It was a large room with plants and decorations everywhere.

You stopped to take in the whole room. You saw other people from your house laughing or doing homework together. Some people were watering the many plants. Roses and violets everywhere. A shelf with mainly yellow and white books with a bit of dust on each of the books. Two small windows at the opposite side of each other giving so much light into the room the candles lit up were no longer needed. Of course, it smelt like birthday cake and strawberries in the whole room.

You went into your dorm and started to decorated your bed with pictures of you and your family/muggle friends and decorative lights. As you started to fall asleep you wondered what other people you knew were doing. Your dad was probably already writing a letter to you because of how excited he was while your mom was probably not getting why I couldn't just take my phone instead of sending owls. What about the twins? What could they be doing? You hardly know them yet you keep on thinking about them. They are probably already asleep while you're staying up all night. As you started to close your eyes, you started to dream about all the lessons you had ahead of you.

Firstly, you had potions. You are quite good at those but don't sometimes get everything. What was the second lesson tomorrow? Oh yes, transfiguration....

You fell asleep.

As you wake up you start to look at the time and realise the lessons are in 5 minutes. You rush to get ready before lessons start and remember how you had set a muggle timer on your clock to ring when you were supposed to wake up. Maybe it wasn't working. Anyways, you stopped thinking and realised that you have 2 more minutes so you ran out of the room, hair messier than ever and looking as if you fought a beast before you came to school.

"Sorry I'm late professer!" you called as you walked into class. You saw a desk next to the weasley twins you met yesterday and sat down without thinking or looking at any other desk. "First day of school, already to a bad start Miss y/s. As I was saying before the interuption..." the teacher continued looking at you most of the lesson with dissapointment. The twins kept on cheering you up anyways so you didn't care about what professer Snape said to you or how he looked at you. You managed to do the potion without any mishaps so Snape didn't get as mad at you as he was when you were late. As you slowly turned around again, you realised Lily on another desk smirking but turning around as soon as you made eye contact.

The other classes went by as you kept on thinking what could've happened to the clock. When you finally got into the common room, you ran to where your bed was, looking for your clock. Once you found it under the shirt you wore to sleep you examined it closely and realised one of the bateries was missing. What had happened? Did it fall out?

When you woke up the next day, on time today, you saw how lily was once again smirking exactly how she was in potions but looked away at eye contact. You got annoyed, stood up from bed and asked "why do you keep looking at me with that smirk on your face? I saw you in potions, what's so funny about me?" She turned her head back around, looking at you as if she wanted to burst into laughter and cried "nothing." Before you could ask more questions, she started to get ready for class and many more people started to wake up and get ready at the same time so it was too crowded to ask her anything.

The day went by as casually as muggle life at home when you saw the weasley twins in the corridors once again. You ran up them as Fred jumped in surprise to see you. "Hey, y/n! What's up?" Fred asked as George turned and realised you were there, "Oh, hey y/n."
"Hi guys, I'm good, what class do you have next?" you asked, wondering if they also have astronomy like you. "Astronomy, actually, what about you?" George asked while Fred was still looking around the building curiously. "Same." you exclaimed happily than ever that you had people you knew in your class.

You led the way since you saw the room by the way to your common room. You walked into class with a few people already there as the teacher started talking. "Alright, I have put labels onto each of the desks and you should be able to find your desk this way." The teacher called to you three. You sat down at your desk with George, while Fred had to sit at the opposite side of the classroom. "I feel bad for him, he has to sit far away from the only people he knows." George started saying, looking at Fred with what you could tell was a fake smile. Fred didn't seem to notice and just smiled back. "But maybe he can meet new people, new friends, like how we met on the train here! " you looked at George . You saw a group of people walk in at the same time and that's when class started. It wasn't anything interesting, just what you could and couldn't do in class and what you should and shouldn't be doing in class. Another person set near you and you learnt his name(Max) through the boring lesson. You went back to your common room, started some of the homework on your bed and fell asleep.
