"2... 3... 4..." you glared at him. He stood up for his chair and finally said "Fine! But if you tell him-" "I won't, I promise"

He sighed. You didn't enjoy being hard on him but you had to find out, mainly if it was something about you. "He has a crush on you." What? Really? That was the most obvious answer to this yet you still weren't expecting it. "Now does he?" Fred started cleaning again but nodded to your question. You understand how Fred must have felt when he told a secret of his best friend to someone else.

"I didn't know. I'll be nicer to him but I'm not giving any promises, alright?" He nodded. He looked relieved, even if his face wasn't in your view. His back was turned to you. Detention went by fast and you and Fred scarcely spoke throught.

You were on your way to the common room when you noticed Harry, talking to Ron and Hermione. "Hi guys, enjoying hogwarts?" you asked and they started a silence. "Hey y/n, yeah it's fine. Still losing classes sometimes and we always get in trouble by Snape. Do you know anything about him?" Harry asked back. "He wants to be the defence against the dark arts teacher but everyone knows that. What else... Oh yeah! I think I heard 2 slytherin saying he used to work with he-who-must-not-be-named. Why?" you answered, thinking carefully if you know anything else.

They all looked at each other with shock." Please don't tell me you're actually surprised. He's so strict that even when I do the best in class he still favours the other slytherin that got it on his 3rd try. It really seems like him, no?" you looked at them. They nodded as a response. "Yeah... Thanks y/n." Ron said as they started to leave "Sure!" you called as they left. You headed back to your common room too.

The week went by fast. You never had detention with the twins for the next 5 days. It was either with the slytherin student, the griffindor student or another random ravenclaw girl that you just met when you had to clean the charms classroom. She had lovely blonde hair and cherry earings. You became friends with her quite easily but you weren't sure she knew you were friends. Her name was Luna Lovegood but you called her Lu.

Whenever you hang out with her, you would stand up for her and other raven laws calling her wierd. It was tearing knowing she had to deal with this everyday while having nobody beside her. One lunch, you sat on the table fully on the left next to her when a red hair came up to you. "Hey Georgie! What's up?" "I came to ask if we can be friends again." You looked at him for a while but then smiled straight at him. "Of course!" He looked surprised yet glad. He sat down and the three of you started talking. They became friends quite easily since there weren't much differences anyways. When lunch ended, you had to head to class, charms. Luckily, you got to sit next to Luna during charms, since you have the lesson with year 1,2,3 and 4 ravenclaws. At least some of them. She was very good and very helpful so she quite easily taught you the defensive charm you couldn't figure out for a month now.

You were heading for astronomy when one of the twins came up to you. "What up, Georgie?" you asked. He gasped. "How dare you mistake me for George!" You looked at him and knew it was really George but you decided to play along. "Sure, fine, sorry." You heard him laughing for a second. "Well, I would like to ask if you wanted to spend Christmas with us. Me and my family."

You thought if you should agree or disagree. Your family might miss you but you really wanted to see where they live. It wouldn't be anywhere new or modern, it's just not the weasley style. Meeting their family does sound exciting.

"Alright, Georgie. Sorry, I meant, FrEd." you said and rolled your eyes while saying sorry. He looked pleased and excited. He calmed down to look like he didn't care, nodded his head and left you to run to Fred. Then, something hit you on the head. You turned around to see peeves laughing and pointing at you. You looked in front to see a box of tissues. "Try not to cry! Oops, sorry, that was meant for George!" he called across the hall. George looked annoyed but Fred couldn't stop laughing his head off.

You went to your common room and up to your dormitory. You found your owl already on top of your bed. You went up to it to see who it was from.

Hey, Y/N. How's hogwarts? Sorry it took so long for us to write to you but work is now more tiring than ever. Your mom is starting a job too, just so I can take more days off. She wants to become a cleaner but I think we should decide that as a family.

-Father and Mother

Oh, god. How do you tell them your not coming now? You didn't know that your dad had this much trouble at work. Of course, it must be hard waking up at 5 am in the morning at coming back at 8pm for 4 days a week. Maybe he's sick or worse. Should you still leave them? You already agreed to George and you can't back out now. You sat down at the desk and started writing back:

Hi dad. I'm doing fine, thanks for asking. Things at hogwarts are good and I've already made more friends. I'm not sure you've heard but Harry Potter is at our school and I have become friends with him too. He had to live in a muggle family and has the scar just like you said!

Sadly, I agreed to stay for Christmas at another friend's house but I'm sure you and mom will make the right decision. I belive mom should choose where she works, if she really has to work anyways. I hope work gets better and I wish you luck!

-Y/N

You rolled up the piece of paper and put it inside the circular container attached to the owl. The owl flew out one of the only open windows, leaving a few feathers on your bed. You cleared them before someone else came in. "Heard your going to the burrow. Well done, it took me longer so I'm happy for you." said the voice behind your back.

"Don't tell me that's another thing you're going to blame me for." you rolled your eyes and turned to face Lily. "I don't know what you're talking about. Anyways, I wish you luck. Their younger siblings are so annoying, they think the world revolves around them." she commented as she looked for something in her drawer. "Actually, I met Ron and he's just fine. I'm sure Ginny won't be any worse." She finally found something small and put it in he pocket before you could see. "Ginnys the worst of them all. She doesn't have any manners at all and thinks everybody likes her. Brat in my opinion." she replied and left the room before you could argue or say otherwise. Bitch.

You left the dormitory and found Klaus in the common room." Hey! What are you reading?" you asked coming up to his usual desk. "Newspaper. I think their lying and I'm trying to find a good argument against Emily. She says they don't lie, except for 1 or 2 times last year. I disagree." he talked but didn't look up from his newspaper. "Daily prophet always lies, be easy on Emily." you ran off and into the corridor.

As you turned the next corner, you saw Luna skipping thought the halls and everyone whispering around her
"Hi Y/N! How do you do?" you exclaimed while stopping right next to you. "I'm fine Luna. What are you doing? I could help you if you would like." you answered. The whispers just grew louder and people started staring at you too. "That would be lovely. I'm trying to find all of my earings and I'm retracing my steps." People started smirking and chuckling and you turned around to face them. They all looked away but you wouldn't belive that you just overheard them.

"You. Where are her earings?" you came up to one of the ravenclaw students and asked trying not to hit one. "I wouldn't thi-" Luna started but got interupted by the student. "You're a hufflepuff, right? You have to guess this riddle to get them, how about that?" People started cheering and laughing. You nodded your head. "I can be cracked, I can be made. I can be told, I can be played. What am I?" she told. You asked her to repeat and she repeated it while the smirk just grew. It took you 1 minute, but you got the right answer in the end. "A joke." People looked around, shocked. The girl in front of you looked stumped and took the earings out of her pocket. They were cherry earings, surrounded by jewels. "Thank you. Oh, before I forget, just because I'm not a ravenclaw doesn't necessarily mean I'm stupid." you walked away with Luna.

(Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed this chapter. I won't be posting next until 6th November because I have some stuff I need to sort out. I hope that's fine. Merry Christmas and Happy New year.)
