Strength in Numbers

Chapter 7

Virgil-

I wait in the front of the school for Remy. I was still on edge do to the hug Patton had inflicted upon me. I really didn't want to meet my soulmates but here I am, the in luckiest Bitch alive. I happened to have all three of my soulmates in one school, I mope to myself.

"Hey gurl," Remy's voice pulls me out of my thoughts.

"Sup," I reply. They loop their arm around mine and start walking to the nearest Starbucks.

"Aren't we breaking a school rule or something," I ask as my anxiety comes roaring up.

"Wow, it took you this long to panic," Remy laughs and I glare," calm emo, we are fine as long as we don't get caught. I did this a lot last year so we'll be fine."

"Fine," I grumble. My need for coffee was stronger than my fear at the corner moment. We reached the local Starbucks in record time. Once we entered I couldn't believe my eyes.

"Janus? Remus?" I call to my old childhood friends. They both turn in my direction and gasp.

"Virgil!" Remus shouts and practically tackles me. I luckily stay up right thanks to years of training. He then proceeded to lift me off my feet and spin me around. While I ask him to put me down, Remy and Janus watched the scene with amusement.

"Put me down!" I cried out. These are some of the times where I really hate being shorter than Remus. Remus lets me down and I grumble. He has has always been taller than me but in the past two years he has grown a foot. Remus was at least 6 feet tall and it made my 5 foot 8 inch and a half ass feel way to short.

"I can't believe I found you two," I say relived. Janus and Remus both smile at me and then their attention turns to Remy. Remy has moved back to my side with an amused expression.

"We are glad to see you too Virgil," Janus tells me. Wait, I quickly think to myself. Did he lie to me? I don't see any signs but it's been two years since I have seen either of them.Janus must have seen my worried expression because he quietly tried to reassure me.

"I was telling the truth, my therapy sections have really helped me a lot and now I can lie mostly on command. Oh, and if I lie I tend to give a hand signal to let you know," Janus explains.

"That's amazing!" I exclaim. Janus smiles and Remus hugs Janus as a show of his praise. Janus has been pathological liar since childhood, but he got help from a therapist after his parents discovered it. He has been going to therapy since the third grade and has continuously gotten better every year.

"I have really missed you two," I sigh.

"We missed you too Virgil," Janus tells me," although, I have to ask. Who is next to you?"

"Name's Remy," Remy tells my friends.

"Wait!" Remus asks," what's your last name?"

"Um.... Sleep," Remy tells Remus," why do you ask?"

"It's you!" Remus shots with a huge smile upon his face," your our last soulmate!"

"Sir," one of the baristas warns," keep your voice down."

"Sorry," Remus apologizes. We move to a corner of the surprisingly large Starbucks.

"Wait," Remy says with a calculated stare," what are your last names?"

"Remus King," Remus says with a dramatic bow. Janus and I roll out eyes while Remy giggles.

"Janus Attor," Janus says with a smile. Remy's eyes widen with realization and their hand went to their left wrist. Remus smiles and hugged Remy who hugs back. I smile too, Remy looked so happy and they deserve happiness after all the shit they went through. We all finally get coffee and head back to the school. There was 20 minutes left of lock so we hung out and ate till the end of lunch. We laughed and joked, and Remus horrified all of us at least 6 times. Then out of no where Janus stands up and moves right in front to Remy.

"Remy," Janus asks nervously," can I kiss you?" I internally scream and look at the equally shocked Remy.

"Sure babe," Remy tired to say as calm as possible. Janus smiles and leans down to kiss Remy. The kiss only lasted for a couple seconds but I was shook then entire time. They pull apart blushing like crazy. I then take a look at their soulmate name markings. Remy's name on Janus arm was now a pleasant white with a black edging. Janus' name on Remy's arm was now a golden yellow with black edging. I smiled know my best friends were going to be very happy with each other. The bell rings which brings me back to reality. Only two more classes to survive, History and Drama class here I come.

-sorry for this being so late. School has been hell and I have gotten only four hours of sleep for the past three days-
